All Things Must Pass is SUCH a brilliant album.

I listened to it yesterday, and decided that George Harrison is probably my favorite all-around musician ever. Great singer, songwriter, guitar player, sitar player... He's just so cool.

MBS 08-26-2005 03:04 PM

All the work he's done with every band is great.

He's like the smart little brother who gets all of his ideas rejected by his older brothers in the Beatles.

Woodstock 08-26-2005 04:12 PM

Any fans of Savoy Brown here? I found a CD of em, Raw Sienna. It's pretty good.

Zepp 08-26-2005 04:13 PM

Where I come from most people listen to rap, dance. But not me and my friends.

Im 16 and I love...
Zeppelin
Hendrix
Cream
CCR
Doors
Yen Years After
Yard Birds
Canned Heat
....are my favs.

Hell I’m even going to art college, I’m practically living in the 60's . I would like to see Classic Rock make a come back, but it wont happen, it is still great though. I don’t think classic rock should be just listened too, there is allot of history behind it and its well worth knowing most of it about bands and such :)

Guys go to The Listening Party Poll and vote against PATGOD, vote Zombies.

Woodstock 08-26-2005 04:23 PM

Well, they aren't exactly a commonly mentioned band.

I voted Zombies \m/

Broken Arrow 08-26-2005 04:27 PM

I wish I did but I voted TMR really early .

jpj 08-26-2005 04:30 PM

I listened to that Zombies album a long time ago, but I didn't like it. People should definitely vote for it because it has the best chance to beat PATGOD.

magicbus 08-26-2005 04:44 PM

I actually didn't like that Zombies album, so I didn't voted for it.

Woodstock 08-26-2005 04:46 PM

Just the regulars though.

That might be fun. I'm such a noob that I probably don't have much that you guys haven't heard though.

That would be buckets of fun. We could avoid the whole process and just say "hey wanna listen to ____?" Sans polls, etc.

I really wish I had AIM :upset:

Doesn't matter, we can listen to our favorite albums.

I brought this up a week or two ago.

CR listening parties sound cool.

The A&I one that I went to didn't have the best music for a listening party(although I like Iron & Wine it just isn't the best for one of those thingys).

I think O&O is a great album.

I think Forever Changes from far away does look like a colourful Africa awsell, amazing album though.

Badmoon 08-26-2005 06:36 PM

I would want to do Billy Bragg and Wilco's Mermaid Avenue for a listening party. You guys would really like that album; they play Woody Guthrie written tunes. You could hardly tellthey were from Woody though.

Broken Arrow 08-26-2005 07:02 PM

My suggestion would be

Neil Young-Tonights the Night
