I feel sorry for the Klaxons, for they cannot compete against the awesome power of the smashing pumpkins.
I will proberbly go and watch Klaxons, i dont care much for smashing pumpkins. I can see the same situation happening this year, as last, a group of my mates tried convincing me to go see pearl jam, because even if i don't like the, you have to see them live, where's the fuking logic in that, if i don't like them then i dont want to go watch them do i, idiots, so i watched Maximo Park, who where brilliant and a very much enjoyed. Replace the bands with the pumpkins and klaxons, and walla, this years situation will arise. |
Pearl Jam were so immense live.
I didn't like them back then but seeing them live converted me. |
Klaxons are good imo. But then again I love metal. But outta Klaxons and Pumpkins i'd rather see klaxons. Now if RATM were to play reading/leeds as they did coachella on sunday that'd be a different story.
|
That happened to me a few years back
There was White Stripes/Morrissey on the main stage (can't remember which. Doesn't really matter) and Mondo Generator followed by Mark Lanegan in the carling tent My mate Dav's girfriend went to see whoever was on the main stage, so he left halfway into Mondo Generator, and Spencer never made it to the carling tent, his girlfriend was seeing the Main Stage too (she's one of these 'we can see from here' types. I have my misgivings ... ¬_¬) Needless to say, I stayed :) one of the best live sets I've ever seen |
Urgh, I cannot stand new rave bollocks.
Going to a club and seeing people dancing to the same songs week on week just really puts me off it. It annoys me when people defend them by saying "yeah but those are just the songs for the mainstream". Just, seeing hundreds of sweaty morons singing along that "doo doo doo doo doo doo doo" song gets old very quickly. Like in 5 seconds. |
You mean Golden Skans ?
Nu-rave is just a gimmick. I listen to rave and theres nothing rave like about s***disco or klaxons |
What a GORGEOUS DAY!
I've thrown back the curtains and put some music on. In about half an hour, I'll be able to tan from my bed  Ooo, a romantic evening in with oneself, joy! |

Cricket shirt, 3/4er length shorts, trainer socks + slip on shoes. ohhhhh yeah. Still cold out though, haha, well, when the wind blowssssssss. |

We can get Uni hoodies, and I can lol at yours because mine's Leeds Uni and yours is only Leeds Art College. There's quite a rivalry between Uni and Met, but only really as far as sports goes. That's about it. |
Ill be leeds met, not leeds uni.
I might get a MMU one as im on foundation there  there's rivalry between the two here too hahaha. I plan to play cricket for LMU, so i will be forced to hate you all mwhahah. |
lol
You looked at halls or anything yet? Though come to think of it, I don't know anything about leeds met halls =/ |
Ish, i dunno wanna do it untill i have a place, if i get one.
Im dunno where i wanna go, theres a few with swimming pools and gyms and en-suite i wanna go in haha. I might save up my wages until i move out, then i might be able to afford it. |

Looking good that they rang me to arrange an interview, me and my tutor thought we would have to ring them. :) |
question about student loans if anyone can help;
me and mum were looking through my form (I don't know if it's different from English region ones) and it asks to put the address of where I'll be staying when I move down. But I don't know yet. Should I just put 'student accomodation, Bradford' I'm going to phone up tomorrow anyway, but just wondered if anyone could help at all. |
I dunno about that, because im thinking "i dunno where im going to live untill i know exactly how much money i will have...."
|
Yeah, that should be fine for now.
I've never recieved anything from them at my term address. I don't imagine they'll ever actually do anything with the information. It's more a way for them to assess your loan situation. Like, if you were living at home during term, among other factors, you might recieve a bit less loan because frankly, you wouldn't need it. And besides, you can always update your information later on :) |
Thank you :)
>_> Location: Patricks Pad :upset: |
Living At Home £3,495
Away £4,510 In London £6,315 |
That's why I'm going London and leeching off my parents.
|
:-*
"ADDRESS: Ask Patrick, he knows. Patrick, what's our address? He says 6 Thornville Crescent, Hyde Park, but he isn't sure of the postcode." :upset: :-* ^-^ eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! |
I'm well writing that :D
or home#1: Bradford home#2: 6 Thornville Crescent, Hyde Park It's going to cost me £2,800 for accomodation next year. Which I don't think is bad considering it's ensuite :) and a spanking new building. Mum told me I might not get a bursery though because of how much income they get, so I'm kinda worried about that =/ |
i should get a bursury, i wanna go in Opal1/2 halls (heard anything bout them pat??)
they are mega £££££ (£93 a week, prollt to much) |
Need to find out about accomdation really. Would be helpful if I knew were I wanted to go ¬_¬
|
What you are you going too?
|

I'm dissecting a rat today . Pics later. |
Erw, thats disgusting.
Day of uni today, driving lesson in an hour, work at 4, shame i cant relax :( |
i should get a bursury, i wanna go in Opal1/2 halls (heard anything bout them pat??)
they are mega £££££ (£93 a week, prollt to much)
I know almost nothing :p £93 a week is an absolute shitload to pay for halls, are you sure that's right? My brother was broke amost all year, and because he could only apply late on, he had to take the first place in halls he could get, which was about £70 p/w. It was a nice student hall, so you do seem to get what you pay for, he had a big room and kitchen/lounge bit, but my housemate's was perfectly good and he was only paying about £60. If they really are all that and you can afford it, there's no reason why not. But you WILL spend the year looking at what else you could have spent the money on... :( |
