archive jam?
my ipods broken numerous times and fixed itself. it's now working better than ever. edit: you havent lived until you've been to a six kegger like i did last night. it actually sucked. got broken up pretty quickly and since one of my friends has a warrant out for his arrest, we had to leave. |
Yeah, it's on the bonus feature. Archive Jam isn't the proper name but it's after the show is done just random people jamming. It's mostly Neil Young, Ringo Starr, Levon Helm, Garth Hudson, Ronnie Wood, Dr. John, Paul Butterfield and this random bassist. Clapton's there for a bit until he gives his guitar to Wood and than later Stephen Stills comes in.
Pretty cool. |
I watched Blues Brothers last night. I have the extended edition which was only like 8 minutes longer but awesome. The features are great too. And JonG, they mentioned Magic Sam right before they performed Sweet Home Chicago.
np- Magic Sam- Sweet Home Chicago My ipod's completely broken. I've been trying to fix it all day.
That's an awesome movie. We were jamming around with peter gunn at my band practice last night. Ya, my discman is messed up, it's pissing me off.
I just watched the Last Waltz in it's entirety, even the archive jam. I love that movie so much.
I've never actually seen it. I've got the Cd's though. |
Whats wrong with it?
Well now it least it's functioning, but all the music is gone:( It'll take a while to update. |
West Side Soul is one of the best blues albums ever.
Not kidding. |
West Side Soul is one of the best blues albums ever.
Not kidding.
Yeah I love it. I hadn't even heard of Magic Sam until you uploaded it. Great album though. |
Yeah. I've had a Dead dream. I was playing onstage with them, and looked over at Jerry and he was smiling. I can't remember when it ended.
Last night I watched Jackie Brown and Kiss The Girls. They were pretty good. Jackie Brown was better then I suspected.
I still think mine is better because it had a midget with a broom :p I've heard Jackie Brown was one of Tarantino's few "meh" films /is posting like 6 1/2 hours after typing post |
It was good. Not as good as Reservoir or Pulp, but good none-the-less.
I freed up some space, and am scanning for viruses. /rejoices |
What album should I get next?
I have run out if ideas. :( |
Gorging myself on tangerines while aimlessly searching eBay for random vinyls and letting my weekend flow out like endless rain into a paper cup.

CLoser to Home by Grand Funk

Get The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths.
|
Already tried the Smiths, don't like 'em. :(
|
I really like Syd's vocals on that album, although I don't remember how they sound on "Dark Globe".
I think my favorite songs on there are "Octopus", "Golden Hair", and "Terrapin". EDIT: Yea, I can hear "The Wall"-ish vocals when he says "wouldn't you miss me at all". That's cool.
Those are my favorites too. Such a good album if you're in the right mood |

Am I the only one here who thinks spaming is getting really out of control around here? We all spam to a certain degree but lately it's been getting really out of hand to the point where it's getting hard to post in here. I'm not going to list any names or anything but I think we all should start watching the spam.
How about we get a good topic going strong? What's everyone's favorite Bluegrass/Country/Country Rock album? |
/me stops my temporary spamfest
Hmm... I don't have a favorite actual album, I just like certain songs. I don't really even have a favorite artist, except maybe Earl Scruggs, just because he's a banjo god. Really, I'm sorry I've been spamming, it just seems like no one is posting in here tonight compared to other nights, when it is usually so lively in here, plus the rest of the forums is blowing right now, and I guess I'm just bored :-/ If some people would come to the classicrock chatroom, I'd have someone to talk to :) |
Haha, you the only one there?
My favourite country album, probably Unchained by Johnny Cash. |
Haha, you the only one there?
...no...well...:upset: I need a social life, or at least something to do. Johnny Cash is the man by the way. And does anyone else think Jerry Lee Lewis is pretty awesome? He was amazing on piano. I feel so bad that his career plunged when his marriage got out. She might have been young, but it wasn't like he was 40. Plus she wasn't even related to him that closely, it was like his second cousin, twice removed. They were related by marriage or something. I guess I just hate that he made such great music but he got pwned because he loved the girl he married and stayed with her. |
I just downloaded the Soundtrack to Dead Man by Neil Young. It's ambient music haha. It sound effects with some random clips of the movie and the odd guitar note with delay. It's awesome though.
EDIT-in one song Jonny Depp reads part of the Doors of Perception by William Blake |
Led Zeppelin 3
Um...didn't Aldous Huxley write that?
Yeah he did. whoops. He still nevermind I got it mixed up. I think Johnny Depp is William Blake in this movie. |

Yep, got it for Christmas, it's incredible. |
Oh, don't bother with Oasis, just buy yourself another Beatles album.
Bluegrass - Alison Krauss - Now That I've Found You Country - Brooks and Dunn - Waitin' on Sundown Country Rock - Er, Exile on Main St., Let it Bleed ? I don't really listen to old country, only new country so sorry Willie, Hank and Johnny. Plus I don't really like Johnny Cash that much any way. Ya, I know I'm <insert whatever here>. |
Hank isn't that good.
I'd take him over Cash. I don't really like Cash at all sept for about 5 songs. Willie beats them both hardcore. |

What is that one song with Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash and some other guys where they talk about likes sailors and stuff that died. |
*shudders*
Terrible.
I live in Montana, its in my nature to like country music.
What is that one song with Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash and some other guys where they talk about likes sailors and stuff that died.
No clue I couldn't even tell you the names of my Willie Nelson albums. I don't think I can name many (if any) of his songs either. I just don't pay attention to country album names or song names, but I could probably sing almost all his songs! |
