There was about a three month period where i stopped reading it because the whole tv/internet thing was retarded and forced but the i realized it was well written enough for me not to care.

The end was good, I found. The 'twist' was kind of stupid, I guess, and again a little forced and blatant, but the epilogue with Hinzelmann was awesome and the post-script in Iceland was cool too. Plus I appreciate how well researched it was.

I think I'll read the Road next, but I can already see myself getting frustrated by McCarthy's lack of punctuation. The first page is like a non-stop onslaught of run on sentences.

There was some really cool stuff in American Gods, but I was like you, I put it down for a long time. It was generally likable enough on the whole seemed to hit a few too many cliches on the way.

No real interest in checking out Anasi [sic prob] Boys anyway

New Kick *** trailer is out. McLovin is such a terrible casting choice.

im so pumped for that movie

the more i think about the last two kick *** the more i think its retarded. the rest was enjoyable for the most part. i liked the whole gay prostitute/gay thing

i donno, the casting is awful. the main character doesn't seem right, i dont like the tone of the trailers (but the red band one was okay) and McLovin couldn't be further off from how Red Mist was in the comics.

Ultimately though it comes down to the absurd violence, which based on the hit girl red band, is gonna still be there. They arent very good books outside of their absurdity.

I'm more excited for Scott Pilgrim, both the movie and the sixth volume.

its a comic written by the guy who did wanted so a movie adaptation is going to be a large success
i read some scott pilgrim and idk i dont like.

ultimate x-men is the only millar that doesn't suck in some way. Kick-*** is a fun read but I fully acknowledge that's it's fluff and in the end not very good fluff at that.

fluff is fluff. the movie was dumb fun and had a lot of cool scenes.
