El Guincho- Alegranza

I tried to write this off as hipster garbage, and it probably is, but I don't care. Awesome.

Liebensaft 03-08-2009 08:26 PM

Yeah, that album's pretty cool. It's been sort of ruined for me from the start though, since I heard someone compare it to Spanish-speaking Panda Bear. That's just about exactly what it sounds like.

Happymeal 03-08-2009 09:07 PM

so, that Obits album. i didn't really expect a lot from it and i wasn't too disappointed. it's not too bad but it's obvious that Reis and Froberg need to get back together. i'll just wait for the next reunion band i guess.

i predict (no joke) Cymbals Eat Guitars will be the most massively hyped new band this year

Liebensaft 03-08-2009 10:09 PM

Yeah, fo' sho'. Definately dawg.

ATM 03-09-2009 06:19 PM

Yeah their live show is awesome. They played my school last semester with Double Dagger.

I might try and come to this and then go to The Drones and Deleted Scenes at Black Cat.
