haz where do i find audio recordings of people talking about sexually transmitted diseases
try searching for V.D. or sexual disease documentaries over at cinemageddon or tracker 3 maybe

Jaundice 10-06-2009 01:27 AM

is it sound files or vids or both ?

Meatplow 10-06-2009 01:29 AM

idk where you could find a good repository of straight audio clips on the subject, there may be some kind of audio books you could go hunting for I guess. I generally extract audio samples from footage.

Jaundice 10-06-2009 01:30 AM

which tools extract audio in a very good way ?

Meatplow 10-06-2009 01:32 AM

it depends on the video codec I guess, normally I can open a video file straight into Adobe Audition or any .wav editor and it appears as a waveform but sometimes this fails but i'm sure theres some kind of third party tool like virtualdub you might be able to use.

also I would learn noise reduction techniques, esp. if you are working with VHS rips where a lot of hiss is present on the soundtrack. you can find tutorials online easily enough

Nepenthe 10-06-2009 01:33 AM
sucks doesnt it
well i thought i was actually liking this movie and then the kid died and ive been sitting here for 15 minutes watching absolutely ****ing NOTHING happen and now im kinda feeling like **** this movie

jaundice you can use pretty much any audio editor like audacity or goldwave or whatever you like. just drag the movie file into it as if it were an mp3.

AA-12 10-06-2009 01:40 AM

do you get the point/moral of the movie yet?

Jaundice 10-06-2009 01:41 AM

thanks will def look into these

god why is it so hard to make a mash-up of sixties pop songs, As I Lay Dying riffs and that song Day N Nite by Kid Cudi

Meatplow 10-06-2009 01:43 AM

I can usually make some pretty sweet mash-ups but getting things in time doesn't seem worth it because adobe audition and it's time-stretching tool keep distorting texture

i have to figure out another method. or how to to use ableton live right

Jaundice 10-06-2009 01:46 AM

all i ever try to do is make mash-ups but so far i've never accomplished anything

Nepenthe 10-06-2009 01:53 AM
do you get the point/moral of the movie yet?
Jaundice 10-06-2009 01:57 AM

Meatplow 10-06-2009 02:03 AM

kubricks eyes wide shut did the same thing with exploiting sex

I was turned on by all those masks though

Jaundice 10-06-2009 02:03 AM

any of you guys seen this movie Last House on the Left? at the end they cook some guys head in a microwave, out of all the million other ways they could have killed him

illmitch 10-06-2009 02:05 AM

I thought it was underrated.

The Tom Cruise effect almost had me though, put me off watching it for a long time at least.

nevertoolate 10-06-2009 02:07 AM

mint dig you got there Mitch, a classic.

illmitch 10-06-2009 02:09 AM

yeah, live and let die is seriously spectacular. the rapping is immaculate - you can really see his influence on later rappers, especially (for me at least) Bun B, who is one of my favorite rappers. and the beats are ridiculous as well.

nevertoolate 10-06-2009 02:11 AM

Yeah I only enjoyed oldschool really. I got out of the rap thing in the late 90's, and I'm glad I did coz theres a bunch of godawful stuff around now

Meatplow 10-06-2009 02:11 AM

just for you alex

illmitch 10-06-2009 02:12 AM

im fairly young - 19 - and i didnt really like rap till a few years ago. i like old school stuff - old NY stuff, old southern stuff - but i also like a lot of new stuff, idk. nowadays i like southern rap more than anything else.

Jaundice 10-06-2009 02:13 AM

some old school rap is cute but the overbearing awkwardness of it makes me want to shoot myself

sweet avatar/title combination haz
