That's got a gorgeous handle.

Really well-crafted for when I need to use it as the business end.

Unfortunately, ammo is almost impossible to find in my state right now - I think AZ is prepping for the gun ban. Casings, primers, and every remotely common-sized bullet has been wiped from the shelves and it's sold in cases before it can ever be re-stocked.

Epidemechanical 08-17-2009 01:43 PM

yeah getting that way up here ammo is impossible to find
yeah getting that way up here ammo is impossible to find
It's crazy, but I may buy into the hype here soon and start paying out the arse in shipping to stock up on ammo. My co-worker has a loaded shotgun (a very nice one, in fact, with a gas chamber)next to his door at all times for "when the government comes to try to take [his] guns away."

Mr. Pickle 08-17-2009 01:55 PM

Yeah, cause he's going to threaten someone from the government. gg

Epidemechanical 08-17-2009 01:55 PM

im down with 2nd amendment rights

and as well we should be being denied a weapon is being denied the right to defend yourself

if they can take guns whats next are they going to take away my muay thai training? cut off my hands?

Epidemechanical 08-17-2009 01:56 PM

good thing muay thai is the study of the 9 weapons of the human body

2 fists
2 elbows
2 knees
2 feet
1 head

guess they gotta cut all of them off

FunkMetalBass 08-17-2009 02:14 PM
Yeah, cause he's going to threaten someone from the government. gg
Either he makes an attack at a government official and defends something that is written in our constitution, or he is shot and the government looks bad in the public eye for killing a civilian who was merely protecting his civil liberties as outlined in the constitution.

It's really a moral victory either way.

Mr. Pickle 08-17-2009 04:05 PM

lol no

some guy will show up with the cops and say 'give me ur gun.' the guy will be like, 'no' and the cops will shoot him calling it self-defense. the public will think the dead guy is an asshole.

Their secret dark plan is to let America turn itself into a nation of fat slobs too obese and sugar dependent to put up much of a fight. Then they harvest the lard. Then they figure out what to do with it.

I think Americans panic too much about having their precious guns taken away.

Epidemechanical 08-17-2009 06:51 PM

guns dont kill people

americans kill people

BenJammin 08-17-2009 06:52 PM

Guns are cool. I've been infatuated with revolvers for the longest time because of western movies, and especially Steven King's The Gunslinger.

gaslight 08-17-2009 06:54 PM

Yeah man no-ones saying that western flicks aren't awesome.

Varmints.

Epidemechanical 08-17-2009 06:54 PM

yeah man the dark tower made revolvers soooo ****ing awesome

my dad has two .44s and a 45 from WWII

Dumb question for people who understand pedals and cables more than me. I've got a synth workstation and want to start using pedals with in in a loop sequence through its I/O. Can it be done? I thought I could loop the output through the pedals and into the synth's input. Will it bugger up? Any suggestions for resources to review?

gaslight 08-17-2009 08:51 PM

Does it have an effects loop?

Pluperfect_Arson 08-17-2009 10:03 PM

I resurrected my 4-string from the dead and gave it a good, thorough cleaning.

I had not played it in 4 years before today.

gaslight 08-17-2009 10:08 PM

Yowzers.

I love cleaning my instruments. :D

Wednesday is clean the Stingray neck/fretboard and get 5-6 coats of clear satin poly on the neck/fretboard.

gaslight 08-17-2009 10:56 PM

Is it a fretless?

Sablate McNuff 08-17-2009 11:00 PM
Is it a fretless?
No, but the lacquer seal between frets was worn through in some spots the first time I cleaned it. I lightly sanded it a bit to smooth it out, and I am going to use the poly to reseal it.

gaslight 08-17-2009 11:04 PM

Ahh. Nice. Should turn out real purdy.

Epidemechanical 08-17-2009 11:06 PM

run away run away
Ahh. Nice. Should turn out real purdy.
I hope so. I played it for a couple days with the regular gloss finish on the neck, but it felt sticky. I sanded it down and DAMN my hand felt like it could fly up and down that neck. I'm thinking the satin should re-create that feel while also protecting the wood.

What did you think Raayl/Cuss?

fatbandit 08-18-2009 07:52 AM

Just got a recording interface for my computer. Sweet.

Just need some software to hook this shit up with.

Nice. They are incredible things. I have an M-Audio Fast Track Pro that worked great with my Windows computer, but it took a sh*t a while ago and M-Audio hasn't made linux-compatible drivers for it, so I'm unable to record until I either get a new computer or get a new USB/Firewire audio device.

Is yours USB or Firewire?

gaslight 08-18-2009 08:29 AM

I've got a USB one. My laptop doesn't have firewire.
What did you think Raayl/Cuss?
i felt like i was trapped in an alfred hitchcock movie during like the realization scene where the main character realizes his fatal flaw and fails miserably

FunkMetalBass 08-18-2009 09:56 AM

My computer doesn't have firewire either, but I'm considering getting a firewire-capable PCI card, since you can get one for ~$20.

Doesn't fix the fact that I still can't record, though. Hmm...

So every Hitchcock movie rolled into one? Sounds like an epic song.
