when I hit da dance flo I be do da stanky legg do da stanky legg

I forget how to do multi-independent variable diff eq with heaviside, delta, and gaussian functions. Do I use Fourier or Laplace?

I guess I have to write my own PDE solver for the system.

(*The Noonward Race*) 05-17-2009 11:38 PM

sweet, azymuth would be great for my vinyl collection, i have their discography it's on piratebay

ATM 05-18-2009 06:55 AM

Might go to this. You guys should meet me there.

This year, along with the usual surprise guests and special treats, CunninLynguists will be performing their 2006 classic, A Piece of Strange in its ENTIRETY with Kentucky-based backing band, Club Dub. Other notable firsts will be QN5’s newest signee, Kokayi making his stage debut with the team and Mr. SOS unleashing selections from his debut album for the first time in NYC. There will be no photography of videotaping of this event permitted, so you’ll just have to be there to see for yourself.

ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSES…
If you’ve never seen a QN5 show before – THIS IS THE ONE TO SEE. If you’re a blue school veteran – THINK OF ALL THE NEWNESS. If your friends are familiar with QN5 – BRING THEM ALONG. If you’ve never been to New York City before – THIS IS A GREAT REASON TO VISIT. Basically, there’s no good excuse barring a death in the family to miss this event. With 2009 being QN5’s biggest year of releases to date, this is NOT to be missed. Get your tickets before it’s too late! Remember, this is not a club date…this is an experience. So, if you’re putting this off to wait until your favorite QN5 artist makes their way to your neck of the woods, you’re sorely missing out. Help spread the word!

what course is that? the highest math i've taken is dif eq/ linear alg and multivar calc. and after that, all we did is throw everything in mathematica and matlab.

Trying to get a model that predicts the unfolding of a single HRA strand of parainfluenza virus 5 during fusion. It's essentially a bent alpha-helix that has two hydrogen bonds and a trapped end. Modeling it as a dynamic multi-part cantilever (Bernoulli-Euler) for now to see if the energy stored in it is enough to break the bonds. From there going to look at the energetics of the alpha helix to find if it causes the beta-sheets to restructure into an alpha-helix. Problem is dynamic Bernoulli-Euler is similar to the wave equation and I need to account for thermal entropy (Brownian term; thickness based on temperature) and that modeling hydrogen bonds gives a discontinuous solution. I can't find an exact solution to the PDE, so I have to create a solver that approximates it.

obnoxious **** aside, B.o.B.'s mixtape is really good.

kingsoby1 05-18-2009 09:37 AM

i know nothing about biochem, but that sounds way cool/ aesop rock lyrics... grad school? the most similar thing ive done is dynamic modeling in matlab/ simulink and CFD programming. which is only mathematically similar.

will check out that tape.

production on Recession Music is tight, but one of the mcs is unbearable.

ya, i'm really into brazillian stuff... such a unique sound and rich history. been diving into the tropicalia artists lately... Tom Ze, Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, blablabla. should be some nice sampling material one day when i actually start making stuff. need to get into some eastern stuff now...

ATM 05-18-2009 10:14 AM

I love that Brazilian stuff, too. You should check out this guy that used to work at the radio station I have a show at. His stuff is so dope and he samples a lot of bossa nova.

nice will do

illmitch 05-18-2009 12:20 PM

god math/science is the worst. i'm glad i'm a linguistics major and have no more math classes (presumably) for the rest of my life. i unfortunately do have a couple science classes left.

ATM 05-18-2009 01:01 PM

I'm graduating on Friday :D

pixiesfanyo 05-18-2009 01:03 PM

i graduated in '06 nugga.

SgtPrimus 05-18-2009 01:59 PM

If we are talking about brazilian music, here is a really tight traditional samba song. When it breaks into the groove with the surdos it is so good.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=No6IkedWclw

Also Jorge Ben is real good

wtf Rams what are you majoring in? I'm headed into some more advanced chemistry, but holy **** now I know what I'm getting myself into =(

ah so you're one of those proactive undergrads that seeks out research opportunities with cool profs. good call. i'd have to say the coolest thing i did in my undergrad was some computation fluid dynamic analysis applied to anatomy. biomedical is where it's at right now.

illmitch 05-18-2009 10:18 PM

have any of you guys seen Malice's video blogs (from Clipse)?

dude is on another level

I'm a grad student, finished my undergrad in 3 years. And this is just for a class, but it is part of my partner's doctorate thesis.

Almost got into a fight at the gym tonight. Some asian kiddies didn't like the way I was playing the post. Unfortunately cooler heads prevailed.

kingsoby1 05-18-2009 10:33 PM

grad school is a good place to be right now... kinda wish i did that instead of starting work back in 07. also wish i had the opportunity to go take generals in highschool like all you cats that cut a year off college... AP courses were stupid as hell. your partner has a cool thesis though, i'd like to read some of that shii if possible.

someone smacked into my rear bumper today and i yelled "f*cking idiot" in my car... the windows were down though, and everyone in the crosswalk heard. stupid female 3rd-world-immigrant drivers

illmitch 05-18-2009 10:43 PM

i did AP classes but i plan on doing the full four years....im on a scholarship, and i want to get the most out of college.

kingsoby1 05-18-2009 10:45 PM

overrated. 2.5/5

Rams 05-18-2009 10:46 PM

I didn't have many AP credits. Just got really depressed and took my mind off of it doing classes, playing music, and working out.

I like to yell at people for being dumbasses while I am driving, but it doesn't really get to me.

kingsoby1 05-18-2009 10:52 PM

i didn't do anything in college besides stuff i shouldn't have and girls. but whatever. i somehow finagled a degree from the Aero eng dept in the end.

niobium 05-19-2009 08:25 PM

i was a history major until i decided hip-hop was more important
