no it isn't!

Iai 05-07-2008 03:38 AM

I heard that Mos Def/Pharoahe Monch/Nate Dogg track from Lyricist's Lounge again the other day. That track really deserves to be way more famous than it is.

Happymeal 05-07-2008 11:33 AM

I've been listening to "Swishas and Dosha" by UGK everyday for the past 2 weeks.

Is it called "Oh No"? That song is dope.

Arucard 05-07-2008 01:10 PM

Anyone a fan of uk stuff in here?

Apocalyptic Raids 05-07-2008 11:36 PM

I like Dizzee. That's pretty much all I know.

Iai 05-08-2008 02:42 AM

Yeah. Wicked track.

Glitterati 05-08-2008 03:45 AM

I need to heard Dizzee Rascal.

The only UK stuff I listen to/know of is The Streets.

Apocalyptic Raids 05-08-2008 03:55 AM
I need to heard Dizzee Rascal.
Maths + English is awesome, definitely look into it.

Iai 05-08-2008 05:15 AM

Boy in da Corner is better.

StreetlightRock 05-08-2008 06:37 AM

No wai! Well, it depends, me and my mate always have this arguement, he likes the rawness of Boy in da Corner, I love the refinement of Math + English.

Iai 05-08-2008 06:56 AM

Maths is probably slightly more consistent but Sittin Here, I Luv U, Fix Up Look Sharp, and Jus A Rascal are all better than any one song on it.

StreetlightRock 05-08-2008 07:24 AM

I dunno... Sirens is pretty up there.... Heh, but yea, that's probably a fair enough way at looking at it. Jus A Rascal is awesome.

sgrevs 05-08-2008 07:36 AM

I don't really like Sirens. My favourite off M+E is Pussyole. Boy In Da Corner is better fo sho.

Apocalyptic Raids 05-08-2008 08:34 AM

Pussyole and Where Da G's are probably my favourites. Sirens is pretty good too.

Arucard 05-08-2008 12:33 PM

Aha, not a massive fan of Dizzee. Hes like the 50 Cent of uk hip hop in a lot of ways. Much more talented rappers as soon as you get away from him and his 'crew.' Even Kano destroys him.

Boy Better Know is where its at in all honesty.

Skepta - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9Km95JV9hU
JME - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygIp3WzvR0U
Wiley - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9styOa5JDpY
Chipmunk - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDwI7KQAlD8

All great [and massively popular] uk rappers, also all members of Boy Better Know. Love it.

Iai 05-08-2008 02:16 PM

Blak Twang and Roots Manuva don't seem to get any love anymore.

Honestly, tell me this is not a tune.

I've completely forgotten to check Roots Manuva out. What album is the best to start with?

Iai 05-08-2008 02:45 PM

The only full record I've heard is Awfully Deep, which is pretty good if you can get into the headspace for it. It's kind of a grim, depressive album. His canonical best album is Run Come Save Me, though, so you should get that and then upload it here for me.

:shifty:

Tyr 05-08-2008 03:05 PM

Haha.

Check your rep.

yes it is **** yuo

Arucard 05-08-2008 07:14 PM

Maths + English isn't that good.

Boy Better Know, please see the uk light!

sgrevs 05-08-2008 11:58 PM

I've heard some of Wiley's stuff, he's alright but I'd wouldn't say he's any better than Dizzee. Kano is pretty crap from the small amount of stuff I've heard.

Arucard 05-09-2008 11:43 AM

Kano is brilliant. P's and Q's is pretty much the height of grime.
