They have nine members...and have less complicated music than most 5 piece metal bands.
They exist to make heavy music, the only problem is that their definition of "brutal" is only in relation to other mainstream bands, and they aren't half as brutal as some stuff I listen to, which isn't even comparable to the brutality of the most brutal metal.
Their music appeals to people who don't like real metal, because once you like real metal you grow out of them.
Basically they're a transition band, and kids only like them because it's "rebellious" music, but once they fid something more rebellious they move on.
I like how everything except the first sentance doesn't mention the actual music at all, only how people view it. gg

It does, the second is about the music at the least too, it is about the "brutality" of it which is about the music as far as metal goes. I could have written "They use drop tuning power chords for every song" But that doesn't prove much besides that they lack innovation.

The point I'm just trying to make is that is no way to describe why a band sucks without looking like a faggot. You either like them or you don't, which is why I took away that "You have to explain why you don't like a band rule".

:( I got banned for using faggot...or ******...one of them...lame.
Meh, I could be technical about it, and point out they use the same scales over and over again, their songs all sound very similar, they aren't innovative and they don't do anything to separate them from everyone else, but in the end someone would disagree, and it's pretty useless yes, but it doesn't change the fact that the are terrible in comparison to real metal :)

That's why I avoid those threads :)

Don't buy anything from Hot Topic, especially music.

No, Hot Topic has some great album's and vinyl. Also posters...

cbmartinez 05-08-2005 01:51 PM

Since when does Hot Topic sell vinyl?

Since always? The one at my mall does. Sometimes I find CDs I want there, but I'm not really a fan of the clothes there.

It does around here.

They do on their website at the least...but holy crap over-priced...

I shop at an indie store and everything is at least $2 cheaper, although I also get a discount :) Either way...shop at Best Buy for music.

If you want rarities and EP's Hot Topic is the place to go. I usually shop from Best Buy too but I got Scary Kids Scaring Kids EP for $8.99 at Hot Topic.

Rancid Dan 05-08-2005 01:56 PM

I go to my local CD shop for CD's or HMV or Amazon.......

cbmartinez 05-08-2005 01:56 PM

Vinyl is lame anyway.

$9 for an EP?! Good god, learn to shop man. I don't spend over $10 for any single disc LPs. If Best Buy doesn't have it, find indie shops or use Ebay/Amazon. Chain stores like that are overpriced.

$9 isn't bad for anything... Serious.

Most CD's even online come out being $10-$12...

cbmartinez 05-08-2005 01:58 PM

My PTW EP was $10.
