Care.

AIRIC 12-12-2006 01:52 PM

Is there a different vocalist on From Enslavement To Obliteration from Scum

whiteminority 12-12-2006 02:37 PM

Yes and no.

The A side of Scum is Nic Bullen, the B side is Lee Dorrian who was also vox on FETO.

Nerdcore753 12-12-2006 09:47 PM

It's funny how, except for the drummer, the band is different for each side.

whiteminority 12-13-2006 02:35 PM

The A side was recorded as a demo in like '85 and the band went on hiatus then Mick Harris reformed it and they recorded Scum.

AIRIC 12-13-2006 03:17 PM

I'm not sure which album I like better. Probably Scum

Anyone like Carcass?

RetiredAt21 12-13-2006 05:04 PM

I love Carcass. I like their death metal stuff just as much as I like the grind stuff.

whiteminority 12-14-2006 01:39 PM

Yeah, they rule. Heartwork is probaly my favorite even though I in general like their grind more.

RetiredAt21 12-14-2006 01:40 PM

Heartwork is great. I almost like it more than Wake Up And Smell The Carcass.

Subvert_bassist 12-15-2006 12:03 AM

HAHA, dude, you went so long with no avatar, then one random *** day, you get that one. LOL

Now that everyone's had time to really soak in the new Kylesa album, any thoughts? I say it's good, but a slight step down from some previous releases (*cough*To Walk A Middle Course*cough*).

Excursions 12-15-2006 12:37 AM

Any of you people like Fear of God? I don't know what you gice are into but this band makes Napalm Death sound like The Wiggles. They were around in the mid to late 1980s making some pretty intense music and helping to start what would later be known as grind. Their vocalist actually runs an mp3 blog for out of print hardcore at http://goodbadmusic.blogspot.com/ which is a pretty good site. If you go back a few pages he posts a few of his bands mp3s, I think you should check it out at least if you're into grind, even if you don't like it.

It'd be hard for them to top To Walk A Middle Course imo.

Gnarmageddon 12-15-2006 11:13 AM

I still need to snag both Kylesa albums from someone.

AIRIC 12-15-2006 11:52 PM

I'm into the new album way more but it's probably because I've listened to that the most.

So yeah I think the new album is great. They have a unique sound.

whiteminority 12-16-2006 12:10 AM

HOORAY ALCOHOL.

I'm drunk.

RetiredAt21 12-16-2006 09:57 AM

Speaking of alcohol, I made a bad decision and ate 2 mg. of Xanax and drank a couple beers. I cannot remember ANYTHING. Bad idea kids.

In grind news, I've been listening to a whole lot of old Phobia lately. I love this s'hit.

whiteminority 12-16-2006 10:19 AM

Great night last night, went over to hang out with my buddys for a bit and then Alex and Thomas pull out a handle of Cap Morgan's. Needless to say much awesomeness of drunkeness took place.

I finally checked out Kylesa. HOLY FUCK.

AIRIC 12-16-2006 10:29 AM

I had an okay night last night. We picked up an eighth and a 30 rack, smoked the eighth and were just like fuck this beer and fell asleep. I've got 16 beers in my closet now :)

whiteminority 12-16-2006 10:43 AM

Niiice.

kylesa ftw

whiteminority 12-16-2006 12:02 PM

Yeah I dig them a lot. They make me think of if Mastodon were a punk band.

RetiredAt21 12-16-2006 12:36 PM

Kylesa rule so hard.

Times Ten 12-16-2006 12:59 PM

I just don't GET Kylesa.

RetiredAt21 12-16-2006 02:17 PM

I don't think I GET what you're saying.

Where have you been, man? Definitely Kylesa ftw.

All I did last night was smoke some green and chill. But then again, that's my every night.

whiteminority 12-16-2006 04:02 PM

I've been lazy man.

Crass_138 12-16-2006 07:03 PM

Would Filth be considered a crust band?
