Yeah, I went with my brother. We were like 10 people away from the door when it sold out. Luckily I bought tickets ahead of time.
one of the times that i screamed about climbing MOUNT BUMMER some dude said he was about that distance from the door when he was turned away. sucks bro. the facebok message sent by the promoter before the show made it seem like it just wouldn't sell out. i'm seein the bright side in not going though, i'm currently drowning all of those sorrows away in iced tea.

I'm living literally 2 minutes walking from that venue. My house is on the lake. You going to come chill?

cobert 04-07-2010 12:37 PM

I'd like to. That lake is super nice. I'll get a bro and we'll probably go to a show up there this summer and hang out.

Was the message sent before or after the venue change? Because Forward Hall would have been able to do way more people I think. There were probably around 400 something people there last night, and I've heard Forward Hall did over 700 for Shockwave a couple years back.

after. I haven't been inside The Hangout in forever but I feel like it's larger than Forward Hall.

iamrockzorz 04-07-2010 03:34 PM

Anyone and everyone should get in touch with me over the summer who are looking to chill. Cobert, especially you. Justin too. I'll be in Erie PA with nothing to do. So come hang.

Mute Print 04-07-2010 04:21 PM
after. I haven't been inside The Hangout in forever but I feel like it's larger than Forward Hall.
It didn't seem that big, although there is a lot of room to hang out away from the main stage area. Forward Hall is really deceiving because of that upper area and whatever. I suppose the Hangout might just be way more strict about capacity, too.

Also, just as a side note, someone should teach a stagediving class in Erie. I've never seen so many people get up on stage, walk around awkwardly and then fall back into the crowd.

RetiredAt21 04-07-2010 06:37 PM

Jim we should get strung out and start a mysterious guy hardcore band!

iamrockzorz 04-07-2010 07:16 PM

I'd be down. I like playing music when I'm ****ed up, and mysterious guy hardcore probably comes natural when you can't think straight.

iamrockzorz 04-07-2010 08:28 PM

I'm going to start writing reviews for good hardcore on the review portion of this site. The selection is so bare, and it's easy to get a hype train going on this website. I want to break the hype.

NortherlyNanook 04-07-2010 08:32 PM

dont go there, it somehow becomes a worse and worse place every day

iamrockzorz 04-07-2010 08:39 PM

I haven't given any attention to it in over two years, but I like music journalism and I'm not elitist about the music I like. I'd rather have other people get into it too, it makes shows more fun.

cbmartinez 04-07-2010 08:40 PM

review site is such a joke

NortherlyNanook 04-07-2010 08:42 PM

after i stopped frequenting it i try every now and then to see what's going on but then i just end up making hostile, terrible posts which is just not me

Iluvatar 04-07-2010 10:16 PM

review site is hilarious

Iluvatar 04-07-2010 10:17 PM

i mean come on they took a review of the new celeste album giving it like a 4 or 4.5 seriously how great is that

NortherlyNanook 04-07-2010 10:19 PM

where else can you see a 5.0 rating review of emery taken seriously

edit: yeah, i mean the new celeste is good but dunno if i could give it a 4 considering it sounds just like the rest of their discography. it seems like all the known skramz is reviewed by one guy who likes to hype (surprise)

Iluvatar 04-07-2010 10:21 PM

apparently that thread got to epic levels of uselessness and spam. i never saw it.

NortherlyNanook 04-07-2010 10:23 PM

i flipped through a few pages and it honestly looked just like 4chan (from what i've seen of it) in a different layout

I come into this thread thinking "oh cool some good ol' hardcore" Blackflag, Dead kennedy's, circle jerks, metallica but all I see is power violence and mutilated "cores". Maybe their are some good bands in here, but they sure aren't Hardcore.

witchxrapist 04-12-2010 05:36 PM

What the **** are you smoking? Crack?

witchxrapist 04-12-2010 05:46 PM
