this is true. if you have an hpa of 3.2 you're pretty much set for most state schools. I got accepted into UF which is the best state school in Florida with my shitty *** gpa.

I didn't get into UF because I had next to no extra-curriculars :(

Well unfortunately for me, I'm trying to get into private schools, and they would laugh at you if you applied with a 3.2.

Hahaha, sad but true. I had a really awesome coach/teacher my sophomore year, though - he was the weightlifting and aerobics coach. We did so many Billy Banks Tae-Bo videos that semester, haha. Plus, we had to wear these bands around our chests that measured our heart rate... we had to stay above 140 or something like that.

Well, let me tell you, doing Tae-Bo as a high schooler doesn't do a whole lot for you (especially when you had the class 1st hour and you don't want to smell like crap the rest of the day), so we'd cut out of the deck and run around on the indoor track until class was coming close to an end. He'd always wonder how the hell we'd have such accelerated heart rates doing Tae-Bo, but he never caught on.

Double Time was probably my favorite part about Tae-Bo. It would be an epileptic's nightmare with all the strobe lights and shi[font=verdana]t[/font].

So today on campus I was just sitting there, minding my own business and reading the newspaper, and this guy sits down next to me and he's like "hey, I'm Joe (I forget the name)." I had a 3.7 and a 1320 (on the 1600 scale) SAT with a bunch of APs, all of which I passed and I didn't get in. It's hard to get in unless you have some weird life story to explain everything.

Well I have a 3.8 and a 1880 (on the 2400 scale), 4 APs, taken 1 so far and passed. The thing that I think helps me is that I have tons of extra curricular stuff. I applied to like 10 schools and I've been accepted into like 7 already.

How did you correct your misconception?

All my friends have been getting these college letters or whatever, and I'm not getting any :upset: ...so I lie to them and tell them I am getting some to make myself feel better. It doesn't work.

i used to get god botherers coming up to me all the time in england and i always used to ask them why god gave me diabetes and they usually couldnt answer or it was something like its in his plan for you then i would ask them how going blind, impotent and having renal failure in later life was in his plan. then theyd leave me alone

For like the last 4 or 5 months, I've been getting like 6 or 7 things from different colleges in the mail a day, but it's been dying down lately. And some of that was recruitment for football too.
