Ildjarn is the shit.
Angmar do you already listen to Akitsa, Paysage D'hiver, Fell Voices or Vordr? |
steven, ever listened to luciation?
|
akitsa is always putting out quality releases
(well, maybe a few of their really earlier releases were sort of meh-ish) |

luciation is pretty cool

Listened to Blood in our Wells 3 or 4 times today. Vocals are so good.

|
Anyone into Inquisition? Dem niggaz b grim
|
digging the hell out of early peste noire - the guitar riffs and solos are killing me
anyone got some suggestions of other bm with similar kind of guitars? |
what peste noir did neige work on, do you guys know? cause i don't really like them, but i'm almost as gay for neige as i am for wil from orchid.
|
i know he was on the first full length release on a couple of tracks, he also did the guitar on a song from folkfuck folie
|
very little input from neige, if you believe the wikipedia page where it's all outlined (though he wrote "La Césarienne" from Folkfuck Folie and did a lot of drums on the early stuff I think)
"The most absurd idea spread by idiots is that La Sanie des siècles is better because Neige was more involved in its recording and production, yet the fact is that the album was recorded without Neige, in 2005, when I had kicked him out of the band. [...] To claim that Neige is an important figure in PN is the same as saying that the person who plays the triangle in SOPOR AETERNUS AND THE ENSEMBLE OF SHADOWS is the main man in SOPOR" - Famine |
LOL i just found out that Famine is posting blog posts to his new label website @ http://www.lamesnieherlequin.com/
this one had me lolling on the floor: http://www.lamesnieherlequin.com/2011/09/so-whos-the-master-2/ |

La Sanie de Siecles It's also the only PN album I like. Also, if Famine was at all sincere in that one interview floating around on the internet, he is a mentally pubescent idiot. |

i'm thinking more like La Sanie Des Siecles, the guitars are almost like rock-n-rolly and pretty atypical for black metal like on the first track "Nous Sommes Fanes": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f66ahb_Qoyw |
Yuri, I noticed your new album is #33 on the RYM 2012 list
just bought a copy on bandcamp
i'm thinking more like La Sanie Des Siecles, the guitars are almost like rock-n-rolly and pretty atypical for black metal like on the first track "Nous Sommes Fanes": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f66ahb_Qoyw
sounds faux-medieval/bluesy to me as far as BM goes I always found this song fairly unique |
Ha, I actually uploaded it to MediaFire as well and posted the link on Bandcamp to prevent that, but cool. :) And it's only 40 cents anyway. (Bandcamp only allows 200 free downloads.) So what do you think?
I think I remember the people on RYM being rather harsh on my earlier stuff, so that's pretty cool. |
I would have thrown you $5 if you had it set up that way
monologue at the end of the title track is the most memorable part of the album. I think it works best when you allow a little bit of melodicism and rhythm to shine on through, Traces is best for this. all up, satisfying not sure what you mean by RYM being harsh on your older stuff, most critical thing I saw there was a one star review where the guy oddly praised you, most ratings were pretty high. |
it's ok i think rym is harsh on me too when the only albums i pay attention to that i've created on there are rated 3.00+
