I still dont get collecting. If ive got a spare 10 bucks the last thing im gonna spend it on is a slab of vinyl that ive already got with a different picture on it. Right now I can barely afford to get to shows.

I don't buy CD's, I download the songs and buy the vinyl.

I am gonna order both packages and keep the color I like and sell the other and earn some cash. That way I actually have cash to get to shows.

There is but you need some different wires and parts. Usually you can still find mp3's of them on the internet somewhere.

I plan on buying some vinyl over the summer, not for collecting, but just for listening.

I listen to them, not as much if I have the mp3's on my PC but I do listen to them.

No, Vinyl has a warmer tone but is pretty inflexible as far as that goes.With CD you can duplicate the warm tone of Vinyl if you have a decent enough setup and know to use an EQ, but most people dont bother because you can get more range and clarity from a CD anyway.

(CD=Wav format, same goes for most digital formats)

Apparently, Vinyl plays a larger range of frequencies than CD which our human ear can't detect. But if they wernt there, the music wouldn't sound as good. So Vinyl sounds better. I've never compared the two, but I doubt I could tell much difference. It probably depends on the state of your record player and needle than anything.

I own a lot of vinyl, but thats mainly because a lot of bands only release stuff on record and not on CD (cool thing to do at the moment I suppose).
They are nice to own though, especially if they are coloured or have artwork on them. But just a pain to get on my MP3 player when I want to hear that music on the move.

Regular EQ controls, aslong as its got atleast 7 bands. Im not big into it but theres a whole cult of people into duplicating vinyl presence with cds.
