[QUOTE=Mute Print]FBTMOF is much cool than the garbage that is played on the radio!

It's also a lot better than anything my friends listen to.[/QUOTE]

It's not usually an issue what my friend's listen to. If I'm ever in a situation where I'm playing music for other people, I just play A Wilhelm Scream or Big D And The Kids Table and I'm usually covered.

Hypnotize 11-12-2005 12:12 AM

[QUOTE=CommieCanada]i know a guy who really only listens to Joy Division and New Order and The Smiths, but fell in love with Rites of Spring

you can never tell.

P.S. i love Thursday[/QUOTE]

Hey, I know you.

BridgeToSolace 11-12-2005 12:13 AM

[QUOTE=Permanent Solution]Man...I just played KOTOR for like 3 hours, god that game is addicting.

EDIT: Rites of Spring and Saetia make me want to cut my ears off.[/QUOTE]

KOTOR sucks.

Most emo is kind of lame to listen to. I do honestly enjoy Kite Flying Society and Indian Summer, though.

Screamo is better, though. Textbook Traitors rule.

I think most of my friends would hate AWS. They might be able to tolerate Big D though.

Kite Flying Society are definitely my favorite emo band. So awesome.

I downloaded a Textbook Traitors album the other night, but haven't listened to it yet.

You suck.

No, it's worse. CTTS is indescribably unlistenable.

That's a good retort to my "CTTS is really good" comment.

Hell, even my mom sings to "The Soft Sell" when I play it in the car...

My friends listen to rap/hip-hop/etc, and can hardly tolerate anything I play. :-\

My dad on the other hand likes A Wilhelm Scream a lot. Granted, he has a way better taste in music than anyone else I know. :p

Shut up.

Your mom has better taste in music than my mom and probably a good number of my friends. Most of my friends wouldn't even come to Warped with me :-\

Black Ink 11-12-2005 12:24 AM

Catch 22 and Big D and the Kids Table Christmas show (27th) in Hartford.

Yessssss.

Lucky...

I saw Big D in August and Catch 22 in September. Both were excellent.

Permanent Solution 11-12-2005 12:25 AM

That's 1 day after my bday Mark...that would kick, I want to see Big D so bad. I couldn't find their stage at Warped /me is stupid :(

My best friend likes ska and pop-punk and some metalcore.

Everyone else likes ska, ramones-type stuff, classic rock, or metal.

Their both bands that I've missed twice. I missed Catch 22 at two concerts where my friends wanted to leave early (bastards) and Big D I was going to see twice but a root canal forced me to miss one, and a test and a paper made me miss another.

Ouch, root canal :(

I've seen C22 three times I think. They're dropping in quality though :-\ The first time like 4-5 years ago was best.

Around here there are only two or three groups of music fans:

The one's who like classic rock, the "punks" who think the Ramones and Misfits are the greatest bands to walk the earth, and the kids who listen to the radio, and think that anything that doesn't get played on MTV is underground. :-\

That's why it's funny to go to shows and see hundreds of people who are into good music. Even though the shows I go to are 15 minutes away, it's like a whole different world. No one from my school is ever there, because no one knows this "world" exists. It's almost like my town is completely oblivious to anything that isn't mainstream.

Excursions 11-12-2005 12:51 AM

I know a quite a few people who were at my school that liked punk bands like Black Flag and we talk occasionally about mainly punk music but my friends don't really listen to it. I don't mind because I listen to pretty much every music style.

Angry Balled Fists! 11-12-2005 04:54 AM

Morning all, i may be having a guitar lesson verry soon but i'm not sure...

I know one person at our school who is into 80's hardcore bands and lots are into the pop-punk type which i also listen to.

Not so many hardcore listeners, i only know 2 maybe.

Untitled 11-12-2005 05:20 AM

All my friends like the same music as me.

Im to hXc for guitar lessons, i just made a cool tune on guitar, well it thinks cool :upset:

Oz Rembrandt 11-12-2005 05:27 AM

80% of my friends are uber mettellers. 16% are hardcore/punk fans. The rest is really just me and my brother who like pop-punk.

[QUOTE=Permanent Solution]Rites of Spring make me want to cut my ears off.[/QUOTE]

You are a sick little man Vince, you really are.

Solar 11-12-2005 06:14 AM

All my friends think all hardcore/punk/pop-punk is emo and are too ignorant to listen to me telling them they suck.

Angry Balled Fists! 11-12-2005 06:14 AM

Lesson was pretty cool, doing arpeggios.

He's putting me into a grade 5 exam soon-ish.

Crap, this afternoon i have to do some jobs :(:(:(

Untitled 11-12-2005 06:32 AM

Today, and tomorrow, will be spent doing coursework.

I have about 10 pages of critical links to draw, and a computor program to program.

TakeWarning 11-12-2005 06:41 AM

OK, you win. But I'm quite sure we're doomed to lose this debate.

My voice sounds terrible, this podcast should be funny in terms of how I sound on it.

What's wrong with your voice? I seem to be a bit screwed vocally at the moment - this cold I've got has given me a really wierd croaky tone.

I'm sure all the ladies find it sexee though :naughty:

On that note, I just shaved off my hawt stubble :upset:

Kevin, idiot.

Gnarmageddon 11-12-2005 09:20 AM

He appears to be my twin. It's quite possible that we were seperated at birth.

billiejoe84 11-12-2005 09:26 AM

lawl

I have a spooky long lost twin too, annoyingly. He just doesn't know it yet.

[url]http://www.stuffonmycat.com[/url]

Gnarmageddon 11-12-2005 09:41 AM

What is that? I'm not sure if I want to click on it.

Ross 11-12-2005 09:47 AM

Just something I found and wanted to tell the world about, and for the lack of anywhere real to put it I thought the first general discussion thread I came across would do nicely. Even if it is irrelevant.

Its a series of pictures of some guy putting things on his cats. Toys, rugs, other cats, hats, clothes, anything.

And the link doesn't work. I will have to learn bb code one day.

EDIT: Ok it does now.

DepthsOfDreams555 11-12-2005 09:50 AM

Why is that so cool? Its a cat haha.

Gnarmageddon 11-12-2005 09:52 AM

Haha, I was thinking it was weird animal pr0n or something. My friends and I just sat here laughing at that.

And to get links to work, put http:// in front of them.
