The forums are much better in that aspect, plus the level of knowledge over new bands or less well known bands seems over there seems to lag behind here.

We've had quite a few people come here asking for new recs cos they get the same shit over and over and over and over in lists.

Fact is john if you can ride out being called a faggot for a few days and manage to understand the culture of this forum a little, you stand to pick up a lot of excellent music just from casual discussions.
