Gotta love your random posts. Always something good in them :).

Mute Print 11-11-2005 10:04 PM

I'm downloading With Love And Squalor by We Are Scientists. I don't usually listen to indie music, but I saw these guys last night with Hot Hot Heat, and they were amazing.

War All The Time is one of my favorite Thursday songs.

Jared, if it doesn't go away soon I would suggest a doctor. Even if it will cost money.

I don't have any money though. I'm in the hole. My parents would cover me, but their insurance is picky about who they cover. Technically I'm an independent, not a dependent, so they don't want to cover me.

Mute Print 11-11-2005 11:26 PM

Maybe try not smoking for a day or two, and see if that helps. Even taking a break from exercising could help, even though that doesn't necessarily seem logical.

I do drink a lot of water. Milk, too.

Heh, you could always try the second option I posted:

I have to exercise though. That's part of my OCD thing, apparently. It keeps me from getting overly-hostile.

Mute Print 11-11-2005 11:32 PM

Well you said you work out constantly, so maybe try slowing it down a little bit at least.

(or cut back on the smoking) :p

I don't really have any ideas beyond that. It seems to be a bit of a unique situation.

CrimbleVan 11-11-2005 11:32 PM

Jared, I'm not sure what to suggest then. When I'm not hungry (which is often) my mom just forces me to eat.

Brandon, I just thought I'd let you know my plan for educating people about emo. I was going to post this in the MCR thread but it was closed (as it should have been). Anywhere here it is:
Next time I hear someone misuse the term "emo", I'll pull out my iPod and play some Hot Cross for them. Or maybe even some Saetia. That should shock them a bit.

Something like Jerome's Dream would probably make them go insane.
I know it's totally irrelavent to the conversation going on in here, but I think it's a decent plan. :p

That sucks. Most people cut back a lot when school started.

Edit: Brian: Ha, I'd like to check out Jerome's Dream sometimes, they sound interesting.
That sucks. Most poeple cut back a lot when school started.
yeah i get about 2-4 hrs o' h/w on a regular basis.. bleh >_< and i dont have computer access till after 6 everyday... it makes me sad =(

oh yes and i read that.. eh... enlightening... thread on MCR, and about a year ago i used to be some one who used the word emo in the wrong form, never like that moron, but none the less, in the wrong manner... but my dear friend Shang Bang on here educated me and its been smooth sailing:thumb:

Excursions 11-11-2005 11:46 PM

OK, Brian. The problem with your plan is:

1. These people will pretend to like the music and bring more morons to the style of music. Something we don't need.
2. They will say that it is not emo because it doesn't sound like My Chemical Romance.

Anyways crank some Rites of Spring.

Mute Print 11-11-2005 11:48 PM

I never even thought of those points, so scratch that plan I guess. I'm probably better off just listening to these idiots talk anyway. It proves to be very entertaining even though I'm probably one of the few that actually understands why it's funny.

And Rites of Spring would be a very good choice as well.

CrimbleVan 11-11-2005 11:54 PM

I hate the whole labeling of music.. i dont know what to call anything anymore

and i hate when people dont like something simply cause its labeled something they think they dont like...

for ex...

I had a few friends over one evening, Saves the Day was being played off my computer and one of my friends is like moving along to it and hes like "hey cristina what is this?" and i decide to not tell him the band and just that its "emo" to see his reaction cause he happens to be one of those moronic idiots that think its cool to hate "emo"... and he stops liking it as soon as the words come outta my mouth - i punched him just for being stupid

The weird the is, the biggest "emo" kid around uses the word liberally, and then why I went to own him with real emo, he was like "Oh, Indian Summer? I love them.".

I pissed my pants.

You can't change anyone's mind about emo anyway. If it's the "EMO SUCKS!" group, then they'll just say "...THIS SUCKS TOO! EMO SUX!"

If it's the "im so emo :(" Group, they'll be too busy cutting themselves to listen to you. Or something...

I've never met anyone who knows what emo really is, let alone enjoys it.

There is this one kid in my school who dresses incredibly "scene". At first I immediately wrote him off as another one of those kids who has no clue what emo is. Then, the other day I saw him at a FBTMOF concert. I'm not saying that FBTMOF is really emo, but it does leave the opening that this kid may actually have some knowledge of cool music (and maybe even emo), even if he dresses like an idiotic scene kid.

(This same kid also has "sXe" written across his backpack in huge letters. I'm not sure if he is for real or not, but it would be really cool to know someone who enjoyed something other than what is played on MTV every night)

I know two people. Only one enjoys it even marginally.

People will suprise you, though. One of them is a kid who wears Death Cab For Cutie and Coheed And Cambria T-shirts.

The other likes The Postal Service and The Dresden Dolls.

You never know.

Meh.. the only thing that sucks is uniforms. And some extremist teachers. They're very few though. Most of the teachers are actually pretty cool.

Goodnight, for real this time.

FBTMOF is much cool than the garbage that is played on the radio!

It's also a lot better than anything my friends listen to.

CommieCanada 11-12-2005 12:11 AM

i know a guy who really only listens to Joy Division and New Order and The Smiths, but fell in love with Rites of Spring

you can never tell.

P.S. i love Thursday

Permanent Solution 11-12-2005 12:11 AM

Man...I just played KOTOR for like 3 hours, god that game is addicting.

EDIT: Rites of Spring and Saetia make me want to cut my ears off.
