I really think he's just moved on to a different style of music out of personal interest, gonna be real.

I never used to like Alcest, but I've decided I'm going to give them another try. Maybe I never liked it because I always approached it as black metal, but it's not black metal at all.

So far, this new album seems pretty good, actually.
