I've heard the albums Brushfire Fairytales and On And On, so yes I have. |
Tense people or people who think too hard about things usually don't like to just chill out smoke and joint and listen to Jack.
|
Well AC/DC and Jack Johnson are polar opposites.
Yea , you got a point. |
my brother pretty much smokes to him ( cigarettes , he dont do pot or anything like that that i know of , but i wouldnt care if he did ) , but hes pretty laid back.
|
Haha he lights up a nice Marlboro and gets cancer to Jack's sexy melodious voice.
|
I acheived 1,000 posts somewhere in this thread, however I am ashamed because the last 4 posts have been blatantly off-topic and this will probably be a double-post. :/

Maybe so, but even when I was high I thought that Jack Johnson sucked |
I got 90% on that album game. I choose the Doors, because I figured they only have like five albums, not including all their greatest hits albums. Turns out half the albums were Three Doors Down albums, whatever. If I didn't recognize the cover I immediately choose one of the non-Doors options. The only problem was that one of the albums was obviously not a Doors album, but there were two choices that weren't the Doors (one was Three Doors down, I'm not sure about the other one).
9/10 ain't bad though. |
I'm back from Costa Rica. No classic rock stories. I did get to listen to my ipod a lot though, since we drove like 5 hours every day. I've decided that Abbey Road is probably the most perfect album ever. Costa Rica was awesome though. The ocean was great. Apparently there was some big earthquake in Japan or something, so there were huge waves. The locals said the huge waves were really uncommon. It would have been a better trip if I could speak any Spanish besides si and hola.

I just started Spanish 3. Someday I plan on living in a Spanish speaking country for a year or two; I figure I'll learn the language pretty fast by doing that. |
I didn't know one word of Spanish before I went to Spain. By the end I didn't have any trouble trying to communicate with people, although I really only spoke to people in like stores and restaurants and stuff. I couldn't have like a normal conversation without a lot of hand actions and misunderstood words.
I wanna learn Spanish really good though, I'm actually learning a lot of key words quite slowly by reading Hemingway novels...he has a lot of different languages in his books, mostly Spanish (besides English). I'm listening to Music From the Big Pink right now...great album. |
yeah, I just finished Span 3, and when I went to Spain I learnd so much more, when I first got there I couldn't order anything, and by the end I was having a conversatin with the Spanish people on the plane, so it really has to do with immersing yourself
Last night I was an ESL teacher :D |
What's ESL?
|
What's ESL?
English as a Second Language It really gives you a perspective on how hard it is to learn English. The spelling and pronunciation is so intense |
Yeah English is a pretty ****ed up language. I like it though, I can think of a lot of nice words and phrases in English. Although there are probably much more beautiful languages than English. I've heard a lot of good stuff about French, but for some reason I really didn't like French class.
|
I'm going into Spanish II. First day is tomorrow, bright and early at 6 AM.
Might have to sleep through the first 3 periods to catch up. |

Neither did I. I'm not good with languages. |
I was going to take German, then speak to my grandparents, which would be cool. But I decided with Spanish.
My grandpa had to take English, German and sign language, because he had a deaf sister. ;\ I'd fail. |
I am going into Spanish III this year.
NP: 2112 - Rush I love the "Presentation" bit of this song. Edit: I'm reading through the thread, and that guitarted user is REALLY stupid. Everyone got pissed off at him, and he spammed this thread so much. |
Classic Rock is cool.

That's not gonna do it. Spanish is very different from English. Very |
That's not gonna do it.
Spanish is very different from English. Very
Muy, muy different! (Hoping that's the right word I'm thinking of) Man I'm listening to Highway 61 Revisited, it's soo amazing. I love Bob Dylan with a passion. I also made myself some yummy green tea, I threw in about a gram of weed I had laying around, I hope my plan works. I haven't drank all the tea though, I had one cup and then I put the rest into a water bottle to drink tonight. My mom and sister kept asking for some tea and I didn't want them drinking my marijuana tea. |
Welsh is probaby the most beautiful language.
Hemingway drank a lot of Absinthe in Spain, most of his novels take place in Spain...and are really twisted. I got Lynyrd Skynyrd Lyve, the 30th Anniversary one..it's pretty good although it's almost a totally different band. They play all of the old classics..way better than I expected. It was used for $10, not bad for a live two-disc. |
That's cool, Skynyrd has always been good live.
Yeah Hemingway was an alcoholic I think, and after reading some of his novels I suspected he drank quite a bit of absinthe too...since his characters always drink absinthe. One of the teachers at my school (he coached me in basketball, taught English) really likes Hemingway, and I planned on asking him whether Hemingway drank absinthe. Now I know! |
