Aha. I finished [this year of] high school on May 25th.

But then it starts again August 9th. WTH is wrong with this state? Even the college doesn't start til August 21st...and I have English over there. So. That's pretty cool. But still...August 9th is the day I can get my driver's license...which means, during the 2 periods I don't have class in the high school...I have absolutely no escape =(

Berk 06-14-2006 02:16 PM

maniac0796 06-14-2006 02:40 PM

Speaking of 24" kicks, I saw this Yamaha Maple Custom Absolute in the shop, 24" kick, 12" rack tom, and 16" + 18" Floors. It was at a great price too, I would have got it if I liked big sizes.

Berk 06-14-2006 03:07 PM

Ludvista was getting that set (same sizes) in blue? I think.

Epiphender 06-14-2006 03:09 PM

Ohh nice! I like both the low and the high pitches. When I get more money I'll be adding on a 14x12 (fill the gap) and an 18x16, something I've wanted since the very beginning. The idea of two floor toms has always struck me as sooo cool.

Berk 06-14-2006 03:16 PM

18'' floor toms scare me..
They seem so abnormale to me..
Like 11'' toms or 13'' toms...

Epiphender 06-14-2006 03:25 PM

I've always hated my 13".

Janeway 06-14-2006 03:38 PM

I just wasted 2 hours of my life waiting for someone to come pick me up.
You'd think my mother would have gotten the point when I didn't come home after 4:00. But nooo. I waited until 5:00 before I broke into school and called home collect.
Ugh.

And that exam was so boring.
We had to write a critical lens, comparative lit essay, a document based report, and a small creative writing entry of our choice.

Kosmos Tree 06-14-2006 03:38 PM

1:0 olé olé oléeee

Sunshine 06-14-2006 04:23 PM

Ew.

My hand would hurt after all that writing.

ofDooM 06-14-2006 04:42 PM

Gettin annoyed by then =(

Janeway 06-14-2006 04:48 PM

It drifts in and out
Frayed and tattered with years long woe
Of a dismal existence
In the abscence of what
Considers us whole

Void of the comfortable clarity
So gracefully bestown
Upon the rest of society
Who drift
Blessedly unkown

=/
That's all I can remember of what I wrote in my poem.
I hate creative writing.

Drum Phil 06-14-2006 04:49 PM

I like embarrasing myself :D

Janeway 06-14-2006 04:53 PM

Well they really should be all "WtF? Is our son on crack?".

Seriously man, no offence but it's you that doesn't get it. Make use of what you have. You don't need a new kit, to practice new things.
