um Casino Royale was really good and in the top half of Bond movies.

I have the boxset too and I'm slowly making my way through with my friends.

and that's also like 19 or 20 hours of movies a day.

SlightlyEpic 01-18-2009 02:51 PM

SlightlyEpic 01-18-2009 03:07 PM

Not going too well?

botb 01-18-2009 03:09 PM

its going fine we'll probably end up headlining the show because of the amount we've presold (its a battle of the bands kinda thing), but it's just annoying.

SlightlyEpic 01-18-2009 03:12 PM

Oh, okay. Well awesome that you've managed to sell so many and good luck in the show :]

botb 01-18-2009 03:13 PM
Oh, okay. Well awesome that you've managed to sell so many and good luck in the show :]
thanks man, =]. it's my first show with this band and it looks like its going to be like upwards of 300 people at the show which would make this my biggest one crowd-wise to date.

SlightlyEpic 01-18-2009 03:20 PM

Awesome! I wish I could play in a band. At the moment I'm in the process of learning guitar but in all honesty I'm pretty bad at it.

All it takes is practice man, you'll get it. :thumb:

SlightlyEpic 01-18-2009 03:42 PM

Yeah, I guess. It would probably help if I was more patient though :p

McP3000 01-18-2009 04:36 PM
I'm disregarding your opinion of me because you actually listen to Blink 182 and AFI.
wait you don't listen to blink-182 or AFI? that's just wrong.

Si1v3RfaNg 01-18-2009 05:31 PM

Not really, they kind of suck.

christsimpson 01-18-2009 05:32 PM

wrong.

Si1v3RfaNg 01-18-2009 05:35 PM

Right. Your like those annoying kids that go to my school and listen to Fall Out Boy and All American Rejects and thinks they have the greatest guitar riffs ever coupled with amazing drums that play the same damn fill the entire song.

Txus 01-18-2009 05:49 PM

AFI had some good stuff back in the day.

TojesDolan 01-18-2009 05:57 PM

sing the sorrow was kind of good but you can't compare it with their old days

botb 01-18-2009 06:01 PM
Not really, they kind of suck.
lies and blasphemy. blink-182 is awesome and old AFI through sing the sorrow is also awesome.

big80smullet 01-18-2009 06:07 PM

Yeah silverfang you're much much cooler than them cause you like metal which is the only true form of music

Si1v3RfaNg 01-18-2009 06:11 PM
Yeah silverfang you're much much cooler than them cause you like metal which is the only true form of music
No, mainstream rock just sucks.

botb 01-18-2009 06:14 PM
No, mainstream rock just sucks.
...uhhh....blink and afi aren't mainstream rock.

blink 182 is pop-punk and catchyazfukk.

afi are definitely not all mainstream rock as the only real song that ever got radio play by them was miss murder (and that was their real poppy/scene/whats-in-right-now album). i feel like you probably haven't heard anything by AFI aside from DU and are judging the entire band on that.

bad Si1v3RfaNg, bad!

Si1v3RfaNg 01-18-2009 06:16 PM

They play that kind of **** on my radio stations all the time...

botb 01-18-2009 06:17 PM

they play blink 182 on the radio all the time yeah, but that doesn't make it mainstream rock =]. Do you consider Tool to be mainstream rock because they get radio play with The Pot and Schism?

Si1v3RfaNg 01-18-2009 06:22 PM

Mainstream is anything fed to the radio listeners, because therefore it becomes famous through radioplay and not actual quality.

big80smullet 01-18-2009 06:22 PM
No, mainstream rock just sucks.
lol

Fuq da mainstream

me saying everything that "everything that isnt mainstream sucks" has just as much validity as your statement.

botb 01-18-2009 06:25 PM
Mainstream is anything fed to the radio listeners, because therefore it becomes famous through radioplay and not actual quality.
idk I think old Metallica is quality and that gets plenty of radio play.

Six Foot Revolver 01-18-2009 06:26 PM

mainstream just means that is is popular.

botb 01-18-2009 06:28 PM
mainstream just means that is is popular.
exactly. popular does not always mean bad. though as of late it has been. the foo fighters are good and they get a lot of radio play. i mean, just hating everything playing on the radio is a little dumb.

big80smullet 01-18-2009 06:29 PM
Mainstream is anything fed to the radio listeners, because therefore it becomes famous through radioplay and not actual quality.
You're saying it as though anything could be played on the radio and people would automatically like it just because its on the radio which blatantly isnt true. How come bands have one single and then fade away, how come some bands never make it. You fail to realise, because youve never bothered to research, that theres hundreds of thousands of aspiring pop groups out there and just as many of them, if not more , fail as bands in the various punk/metal/underground/whatever scenes. The **** you hear on the radio is the cream of the crop. To make it onto national radio takes alot of work and alot of money. And you might say that its being fed to the people but no more so than when you tell your mates about a band or you go to myspace and see a metal band advertised.

So really stfu now cause you may not like it and i can understand why but saying its terrible just because its on the radio is just plain ignorant

hismajestythepope 01-18-2009 06:44 PM

the one time i heard darkthrone on the radio

big80smullet 01-18-2009 06:52 PM

did you hate it cause it was mainstream.

this one time i was at this brutally gr1m metal gig and this kid was wearing a madonna shirt and i was all like gtfo mainstream necrocunt and he was all like dude madonnas not mainstream i d/l her stuff of limewire and i was all like oh cool and now i like madonna

rasputin 01-18-2009 06:52 PM

lmao
