So you probably prefer Cypress Hill.
No, it isn't biased I like Pac over Biggie.

I like East Coast rap over West Coast actually. For the most part, I can't stand the whole G-Funk sound.

Illmatic 03-09-2005 06:17 PM

I have nothing against Cypress Hill.

I love it. I love East Coast rap too, but I love G-Funk.

Ah okay.

I just don't like it myself. And I don't like those vocals with the effects that go with it. You know, in California Love, where it goes, "California, knows how to party... in they city..."
Except for that song, I can't really stand it.

Doesn't mean I don't like West Coast rap in general.

Thumb_bass 03-09-2005 06:36 PM

Yeah, east coast rap is pretty ****in bad ***. Lil Wyte biatch!

Have you listened to The Chronic?

Also, G-Funk was the prevalent form of West Coast rap in the 90's, so unless you mean NWA and Ice-T and such in the 80's, I don't know what West Coast you're talking about.

Shut your mouth.

Nas, Biggie Smalls, Jay-Z, Wu-Tang Clan = East Coast

magicbus 03-09-2005 06:39 PM

Wu-Tang Clan rules and are my favorite east group. Other than that, I'm more of a west man.

Illmatic 03-09-2005 06:40 PM

To be honest, other than Dre and Snoop (who during Pac's lifetime released two albums) and Pac, the West Coast didn't have much going for it.

I meant NWA and [earlier] Too $hort.

Yeah, I've heard Chronic. Around here, if anyone has a rap album, it's by Dre.

Nope.

Public Enemy themselves were better than half of the West Coast scene.
