Also, G-Funk was the prevalent form of West Coast rap in the 90's, so unless you mean NWA and Ice-T and such in the 80's, I don't know what West Coast you're talking about.

Nas, Biggie Smalls, Jay-Z, Wu-Tang Clan = East Coast

Wu-Tang Clan rules and are my favorite east group. Other than that, I'm more of a west man.

To be honest, other than Dre and Snoop (who during Pac's lifetime released two albums) and Pac, the West Coast didn't have much going for it.
