work in half an hour. Oooh. But im applying to for a job at FBi (the ultra-hip radio station). Fingers crossed.
one of my friends applied there but i cant remember whether she got the job or not i dont think so though |
im **** at guitar and cant seem to get any better :(
use a metronome? |
My band was artist of the week on FBi a while ago, can't say I've ever listened to the station though.
If you aren't getting any better you need to practise new things and stretch yourself, work on any weaknesses, set clearly defined goals etc. I find just sitting and playing for hours is a good way to get better too. |
I find that if I am getting frustrated with a passage in a piece of music, I just stop playing and come back to it later and I usually improve vastly compared to last time. Sometimes I even nail it perfectly first try.
|
I got a sick jazz album today. It's excellent to relax to.
Yeah, if you're stuck on something, play it slower and slower until you play it at the speed where you nail it the first attempt. Then practise in increasing increments of speed until you have it correct. For bonus fun try doing it faster than the real tempo. That's a good, reliable methodical approach to learning. Obviously wouldn't do it every time though, it's more for very challenging pieces. Being able to play something slower than written but in perfect time is far better than being able to play something in bursts of unsteady time. |
Its not that i stuck on anything specific i just have no direction with my music and no real motivation to improve. I need to get some lessons or get in a band or something
|
Yeah improvement without motivation is pretty hard to come by.
|
43 on saturday :(
|
yuuuuck
im so glad im not playing golf this weekend |
Same.
I'm pretty stoked, I just realised I'll easily be able to offer traypacks (including double CD traypacks) as part of my CD printing business. Good times. |
Today, I sprayed hair spray under my arms instead of anti-perspirant. I didn't realize it until I went to put my shirt on and couldn't raise my arms. FML
|
Haha dude.
That's like in Red Dwarf where Lister is shaving and sprays his face with deoderant, looks confused for a second then sticks his hands under his armpits and they come out covered in foam. |
the only way to do that better is to let yourself air dry
That's what I'm doing. Does that startle you that I'm naked? Does it arouse you? Do these feelings of arousal make you think of chips and gravy? |
lol i can imagine that
i love that kind of comedy |
I like obtuse comedy like that. It's not odd for me to email my whole team at work a picture of a dog, just because I like dogs.
Attn: Team Re: I like big dogs, look at this picture From Aaron |
Dogs are cool. My dog does very good bear impersonations.
|
Yeah I like to weird people out too.
I'll like, make a point of stuffing my pocket with cafe sugar packets, then at uni when I put my phones and whatever on my desk I dump heaps of sugar packets with them. |
haha that's a good one. I line things up with rulers at my desk. Like, my diary, pens, my keyboard, everything. Just cause I can.
And in other news apparently I've made 410 threads in my time on mx. lol. |
lol i do that but with kfc moist towlettes when im drunk and then in the morning i dont remember where they came from
|

One time, I kid you not, a friend of mine opened one of those moist towlettes except there was not towlette, just the soap. |
That's somewhat inconvenient.

lol we went to a pub in sydney the night before big day out and in the pokies room there was a little bowl of candy for people to eat while playing the pokies
i filled my pockets slyly throughout the night and kept offering people candy around the bar, calling myself 'the candyman' i got back to the hotel and i had 4 plastic beer cups full of candy left |
What are they like?
It's gonna be a double CD album by the time we release it :p. Speaking of the album, is the first track Seed Matrix or Seed Matrice? |
If cynic stopped playing metal and went ambient
|
Speaking of Cynic, that new album is tops. Evolutionary Sleeper is a wicked song.
|
Yeah it's excellent.
