Little Man being Erased 06-16-2005 05:24 PM

Slippery Pete and the Clammerboard Surfers.

pdoc 06-16-2005 05:25 PM

I've been listening to Newton Battenberg Faulkner recnetly, and he's awesome. Not much more than a kid from south London, he has some amazing acoustic skills. Check it out:

Just watch the video and you'll see his talent.

cbmartinez 06-16-2005 06:12 PM

I'm digging In Case We Die, particulary "Wishbone" and "Maybe You Can Owe Me."

Iai 06-16-2005 06:46 PM

Nothing that surprising, really. I think Kraftwerk's new record is the bomb, but you knew that, right? ;)

Oh, actually, I did listen to both Interpol - Antics and Black Star - Black Star today. I enjoyed Black Star muchly - it's such a great night-time record. As for Interpol, I still think they're awesome to listen to for about 5 songs, then they get boring.

YDload 06-16-2005 11:29 PM

Has anyone ever listened to any Foetus stuff? You know, the Scraping Foetus Off the Wheel guy?

Bartender 06-17-2005 02:14 AM

Not that much, actually. Bits and pieces of Beck, and Halfway to Gone - Second Season.

Bandaid 06-17-2005 02:28 AM
That's a really great record, isn't it?
I enjoy it muchly, i tend to like him as a sax band leader more than say the likes of coltrane on many of his records, though that may seem blasphemous...

Bandaid 06-17-2005 02:30 AM
Youth Group - Skeleton Jar
Birthday Party - Prayers on Fire
how does Prayers on Fire stand up next to other Birthday Party?
i find it very hard to find thier albums, only have one, despite living in Australia where you'd think Nick Cave would have widest circulation

Could you possibly upload it track by track if it wouldnt be too much trouble?

Yesterday I was coming home from a cookout feeling abit sad for various boy reasons and I listened to some Kings of Convenience and it was super-lovely.

Zappa 06-17-2005 08:49 AM

The Pretty Things - S.F Sorrow

It's like a proto Tommy done by The Beatles, so good.

ah, just a crush on someone and having mixed emotions on whether the boy has the same feelings about me, etc. It's so grade school.

Today is going to be a Kings of Covenience and Belle and Sebastian day, but if things go really well tonight with the above situation, I will probably switch over to some Architecture in Helsinki.

I have the ones on the website, and just would like the ones that arent there. My computer doesnt like full album downloads; so if you could upload the rest of the album in a zip or just the tracks that arent already availiable (whichever is easiest) would make me love you.

sorry if this doesnt make much sense; i've been up too late and feel lightheaded and weird.

Well_Respected_Man 06-17-2005 11:41 PM

The Small Faces - The Darlings of the Wapping Wharf Launderette
A Certain Ratio - Sextet
Radiohead - The Bends
The Rapture - Echoes
Nuggets - Hallucinations
Apples in Stereo - A Wallpaper Reverie
Jimi Hendrix - Axis: Bold as Love
Velvet Underground - Loaded
Buzzcocks - A Different Kind of Tension
White Stripes - Get Behind Me Satan
The Pretty Things - S.F Sorrow

yeah.

That's the link anyway, it's only 25mb with the ones you already have, but I'll start uploading the others now.

Interstate 06-18-2005 06:10 AM

Martin Grech's new album, Unholy.

Another awesome record brought to you by June 2005.

pixiesfanyo 06-18-2005 08:02 AM

2005 is ridiculous.

Not so many huge amazing albums. But alot of great solid ones.

I'm digging Stephen Malkmus's solo endeavor.

I'm not digging the new White Stripes.

Luxor 06-18-2005 09:34 AM

Lately I've been getting back into Rise Against. I forgot how awesome they were.

I only found out he'd released a new album yesterday actually. What's it like, beyond "awesome"?

pixiesfanyo 06-18-2005 01:08 PM

GYBE now.

I just dled a couple of bootlegs and it's ridiculously good.

Sound Boy 06-18-2005 02:10 PM

Chik 06-18-2005 09:55 PM

Explosions in the Sky - Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Die, Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Live Forever

asymm 06-18-2005 10:12 PM

Eluvium
The Hold Steady
Antony and the Johnsons

Tangy zizzle 06-19-2005 01:42 AM

The Hold Steady are kinda good. Their guitarist dude emailed me to ask if I wanted to write something for them to use in a press kit (like I was gonna do for Qualone) but I said no.

These Arms Are Snakes (it's a constant thing)
This Night Creeps (buy their debut album, it's a trip)
Parchman Farm (make the Black Keys look like *****'s)
The Feelies

talk show host 06-19-2005 04:42 AM

Stephen Malkmus - Face the Truth
The Flatliners - s/t
The Afghan Whigs - Black Love (thanks Iai, they're awesome)
BigBang - Electric Psalmbook
Nofx - The Decline

i'm giving the new Shpongle a spin now, it sounds decent.
