If there is something that pisses me off to no extent, it is when people say that Maiden is satanic and they worship the devil. Who else gets pissed when people say that? Of course it isnt true, they do have a dark side to some of their songs, but none of it is SATANIC! Maiden is, and forever shall be the best band. I favour them over all bands and they deserve it to. Theres something about every member that just makes it awesome.
BruceDickinson is a fencer as most of you must know, and a pilot as well. My dad knew someone who got to FENCE WITH BRUCE! Steve Harris is the best song writter ive ever heard. (Most of their songs are written by him) Not to mention his skill with a bass guitar. He just makes it look so easy. Dave Murray...well.... HE RULES! I love watching the DVD's and staring at his fingers as he moves up and down the fret board. I cant name many people who are better then him. Adrain Smith is also an awesome guitarist. All is notes appear as if theyre going to tumble on top of eachother and make a big mess. But it never happens! Nicko Mcbrain isnt the best drummer of all time, but he can definitely keep up a steady beat. He has awesome timing, Its funny to watch the videos of him. Hes almost constantly smiling. You may have noticed he has a wall of drums infront of him at most concerts. This is actually so he cant see the people in the audience! lol. Several years have gone by yet he still is nervous on stage. Hint: listen to still life on the album Peice of Mind and turn it up LOUD at the end. Nicko says something(but dont turn up too loud if family is nearby) And finally, Janick Gers. Before he joined the band, they werent increadibly energetic on stage. Sure, they had some moving going, but after Janick joined, they all learned his high-energy style and it grew on them. Janick practically formed the style in which they portray on stage well thats all i have to say for now, Maiden rules. UP THE IRONS |
Number of The Beast should win, its fantastic
|
Most people who have not heard Maiden think they are evil because of the T-shirts they see. Their loss though.

Yes, exactly. Some people are afraid of me at school because of my Iron Maiden shirts  . People just dont take time to open their eyes and see for themselves. Theyre too busy trying to be popular. |

Love the name, but it is Fe, not FE, and the chemical symbol of Iron is Fe. You should say, check the elemental name of Fe. :thumb: *chemistry nerd ++* |

But, uh, should we be going for Powerslave then? :p |

I like all maiden but i think i prefer thier newer stuff, BNW DoD i mean.
Although i love songs such as the clairvoyant and even older stuff like Iron Maiden! If i was to vote for a greatest album, i think it would have to be BNW but others come very close! |
i'd go either powerslave or bnw

No, because that makes no sense. Anyway, let's all stop bickering on the differences of the top two R&M songs, and let's see what "Stairway to Heaven" and "Hallowed..." have in common: - Both by British bands - Both recorded more than twenty years ago - Both have awesome guitar solos - Both are over seven minutes long - Neither one was released as a single And here's something weird: Both songs have their titles as the last line in the song. Wow! |
[QUOTE=YDload]No, because that makes no sense.

I only recently started getting into metal this past year, and Iron Maiden quickly became my favourite band :thumb:

WHAT?! That makes no sense: Hallowed Be Thy Name is on NOTB, released in 1982. Boy, that Maiden Authority title is looking a bit tarnished right now... |

Oh ok, I guess you showed me. But the STUDIO version wasn't released as a single when the album came out, and that's usually what I think of when I think "Radio single."
