"Instrumental Awesomeness" - Jom

"I can't even comment on this piece" - Mr. Riva

"A Super-Fantastical piece of work" - Myself

Enjoy :)

Bartender 04-22-2005 05:20 PM

Hurrah, I'm finally on a decent enough connection to download this :)

*listens*

Well, it's excellent, yeah, but I think I still prefer Tetra-sync for now, though I'll give it some time first, naturally. Have you heard Tetra-sync?

ATM 04-22-2005 05:27 PM

How do you guys feel about X-Japan? I am listening to Art Of Life and am really enjoying it.

Jom 04-22-2005 05:28 PM

Hahahahaha.

munky stopped at nothing to post my infamous quote about that song. I love turning adjectives to nouns for some reason.

You should upload another one from them that's similar, please :hint:

For some reason, I can't get into that song. Something about the drums seems off to me.

It's not really 'the same', but it has the same basic, erratic instrumental style. It's long (about 9 minutes), and the bass is insane at points :) Let me know what you think (if you download it).

And here's a non-Squarepushed upload, just an mp3 which caught my eye as I was fetching Tetra-sync.

Oh ye of little faith.

/downloading now

The thing that's going to be frustrating for me when I go back home to the crappy DSL is that I'll have to be selective of my downloads and uploads :(
/triumphant return to thread
How's it goin', Rob?

Paranoidd 04-22-2005 05:53 PM

I'm bored, sick at home.

How's it been in my absence?

Jom 04-22-2005 06:05 PM

Bleh, sorry to read you're sick.

Things were looking pretty bleak in regards to the thread continuing to exist on account of excess spamming and arguing amongst members. That has since died down, and posts are becoming more constructive, with a lot of feedback and other things. It's a welcome change.

Basically, things were very much unlike the beginnings of the first comm. thread, but now it's returning back to a more community-like deal with much better posting.

What are you ill with, any idea?

Paranoidd 04-22-2005 06:09 PM

I started smoking again yesterday, I had three smokes yesterday and one today and now everytime I swallow it feels like I'm swallowing razor blades. Not to mention I've not slept more than 5 hours a night this week, which used to be nothing but meh, I'm getting old.

So I've quit smoking again.

Glad to hear the forum is becoming better, I just looked in the pit and it seems as garbage as it ever was.

Maybe I'll start posting again.

Bartender 04-22-2005 06:12 PM

We can but hope.

Good to see you around, anyway.

Jom 04-22-2005 06:13 PM

The Pit has really been suffering, but that's because there are a lot of idiots who keep getting banned, and after each successive account, get exponentially more annoying. There hasn't been anyone, really, to put them in their places, save for the bannings.

This particular forum has drastically improved, in my eyes. The "in" thing to do recently was to post rules on how to make R&M better... you probably remember writing your version. The others were good, but they weren't close to touching yours in both the humor and seriousness departments.

There just have been a lot more better threads than crappy threads.

Beware of a number of annoying-as-hell users, though. Surprisingly, there have been a lot of newer posters who are rather intelligent in both the arts and the academics. ArrestThisMan is a prime example, as is MXican. pigonthewing is proficient at classic rock. I'm sure I'm forgetting some, but those are the three big '05ers who are significant contributors.

OMG JELLE STOP SPAMMING YOU SILLY DRUNK !

/wonders if you're drunk

Paranoidd 04-22-2005 06:26 PM

Banned until sober.

superpeer 04-22-2005 06:26 PM

No, I am not drunk, dear Jom.

Jom 04-22-2005 06:30 PM

Wpah ! Sour apple liquer (liquor)!

Heh, Jelle posting drunk was funny as hell.

I also remember when Joe came in extremely drunk, Jelle banned him for a day, and he had his brother type in his secondary account's username and password, and he posted wondering why he was banned.

His typing was horrid, but it was so funny. Jelle banned that one, too.

Blockhead gets the Idiot of the Day award, methinks. He's won about two weeks straight in a row.

thickasabrick 04-22-2005 06:31 PM

I remember that, very funny. Slurred typing.

Sour? No, no. My liquer is very sweet. Crazy Americans :).

And WOW, does anyone know about Cartoon-Fridge?

thickasabrick 04-22-2005 06:42 PM

Woodstock may recall the time I came into the Classic Rock thread after a night of heavy drinking. I posted like 5 times, most of it was very hard to read, but you could decipher what I was saying if you took the time.

I sure remember that.

thickasabrick 04-22-2005 06:46 PM

The next day I woke up as fast as possible, I was still kinda drunk (I don't get hung over, I just stay sorta drunk for a long time) and I ran to the computer to try and delete the posts before anyone read them. Of course, there were like two pages of posts already. I was afraid of getting banned, or that I said something mean to someone.
Germany and Iceland are quite fantastically different countries though, not to mention rather far apart.
I realize that, but I felt the need to put in some input. I've only been to three European countries: Iceland, England (is it okay to call it that? I realize you like to call yourselves Britain or the UK), and Ireland. I've never actually been to the European mainland, even though I've love to see Italy, Germany, Scandanavia, Denmark, and the Netherlands.

Bartender 04-22-2005 07:01 PM

Yeah, it's fine to just say England. I just say England (and I think Scots would say they're from Scotland, not the UK, etc). I don't think it's so much that we like to call ourselves the UK, it's just that that's what the four little bits are technically known as.

thickasabrick 04-22-2005 07:01 PM

I've only been to Spain. I plan on going back there someday, it's awesome. I think I'm just gonna tour Europe when I'm older and have enough money. There are a couple countries I wouldn't mind visiting.

superpeer 04-22-2005 07:03 PM

The Netherlands? !! Bah !!

I'm going to bed. Goodnight all.
The Netherlands? !! Bah !!

What's wrong with the Netherlands?

Furthermore, what's wrong with a college student wanting to go to the Netherlands?

(also: bah, fine, I want to go to Belgium too. Happy?)

Night.
