how much is he selling it for?

MatthewMeredith 08-03-2006 07:24 PM

Hey I'm looking to completely replace my current cymbal setup.

I'm looking for very jazzy cymbals. Very thin, dark, and with lots of wash. I want a ride (probably 20") that's good for crashing, and a crash (probably 17") that's good for riding, and I DON'T want a crash ride :p. Also looking for a big china (18-19") and a smaller, dark splash (6-7").

Appearance-wise, I love the looks of Istanbul Agop Signatures, and Turkish's.
Price-wise, anything averaging around $200 CND per cymbal.

Thanks guys :chug:

buy it. thats if you want it. $100 is a good fair price for a used,AA ride.

Not sure on price but Zildjian K Custom Fast crashes are excellent. For a china might i suggest a 19" K Custom hybrid china? For a ride, maybe a HHX groove ride?

drum_with_ease 08-03-2006 09:20 PM
I'm finally going to convert my older drum set into a jazz kit. The only thing I really need is cymbals. I want to get a ride (20"-22"), hats, and 2 crashes (preferably one around 14" and one 18"). I want a nice washy sound, but with good stick definition as well.

Can anyone recommend some cymbals with those preferences? Maybe even a website that sells them cheap-ish?

Thanks
Anyone?

I have the AA raw bell dry ride. which is a medium heavy. different i know but i love it. For the most part AA cymbals are great. only thing i dont like are the rock crashes.

Just buy the Stage Hats. They're awesome hats, I have a pair myself. Very versatile.

mullets suk 08-05-2006 09:40 AM

simple questions...but ive heard wuhans are really good cheap cymbals. is this try cause i just want to pick up another crash, or a splash.i may get the rock and splash pack, i know there really crappy but thats what i would like. Also do they make wuhan rides, cause ive never seen them before.

~(lunch_box)~ 08-05-2006 04:23 PM

what is a good ride that would sound good in a live setting for a 3 piece(drums,bass,guitar/vocals) rock/folk rock band?

thanks in advance for any suggestions

MeaninglessPhoto 08-05-2006 04:48 PM

It depends on if you want a crashable ride and what sound you want.

IMO I would go for a Medium Ride for crashibility or a Ping Ride for noncrashability but great stick definition.

DuckinFutch8 08-05-2006 09:05 PM

I have a heavier ride (22" A Medium) and I'm looking for a lighter one, with less presence but still some good stick definition. Something that could be used in some more jazzy or latin settings. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Seafroggys 08-05-2006 10:38 PM

20" Medium?

MeaninglessPhoto 08-05-2006 10:40 PM

Go for a 20" Medium like Seafroggys said.

Plan B. 08-05-2006 10:47 PM

Sweet ride maybe.
