guys, is the concept for [I]Animals[/I] about [I]Animal Farm[/I] the book or does it just have the same sort of concept?

To Rock and Roll: Its very Animal House influenced, even Waters says the concept wouldn't be as strong if not for the book, but a lot of it was just a concept he agreed with and he jused used Animal House to fill the holes.

Yes he did, he released 2 solo albums. The first one is very good, and the second one is still good, but a little more poppy. He has also recently released a DVD.

Two days ago, I finally purchased Live in Pompeii. You guys never let me down. It is fooking amazing. I have only listened up to Care with that Axe Eugene (omg black metal screams :p ) But it's great so far. I like the little drum solo near the end of Echoes Pt. 1. It's awesome.

Because the first time I saw it I had never before heard any of the tracks off Meddle before, and between the all around greatness of Meddle, and hearing Echoes, and One of These Days for the first time, by the end I was convinced the movie was my new god.

Live at pompeii is just an amazing piece of art. I can never get enough of that film....Nick Mason looks like he is tripping soo hard on One of these days... :naughty:

If you've never heard either album go with Animals for sure. The Wall is good but its my 2nd least favorite PF record right above the Final Cut, including non-waters stuff.

Yeah many people concider The Final Cut as Waters first solo cd, as they don't concider The Division Bell and Momentary Lapse of Reason Pink Floyd.

Honestly though, lots of bands lose members and get new ones, but people still consider them the same band. It annoys me when people classify TDB and MLOR as not PF.

Yeah, if you look at it like that then the Wall is not Pink Floyd, or if a member leaving makes the band fake then everything after Syd left is not Pink Floyd. Or you could say that all the stuff with Syd is not Pink Floyd. It just gets so complex its just easier, and less stupid, to call the band as long as it has most of the members playing in some way, Pink Floyd.
