See if that's the 2005 re-release, that's a lot better than the original version. :)

So...this is what influenced the name!
There's not much info on it. No release date I don't think.

Lord Tim 01-20-2006 09:47 AM

HAHAHA! That's the second funniest thing I've seen tonight!

The best (worst?) one was that Dungeon's Japanese Fan site posted up a joke cover I made for the last Dungeon album "The Final Chapter" as the image to their frontpage, thinking it was real! :amaze:

http://www.dungeonjapan.com

Note to self: Don't make joke covers anymore! :(

Riva 01-20-2006 09:50 AM

I think you should stick to your music Tim. :p

EDIT: Please please please please come to Cairns.

Lord Tim 01-20-2006 09:53 AM

What is the metal scene like in Cairns anyway?

Riva 01-20-2006 09:57 AM
What is the metal scene like in Cairns anyway?
About 4 or 5 thrash bands that play the local pubs. Maybe 1 or 2 nu-metal acts that are halfway decent. Not a lot, really.

Plenty of metal heads though. And we do have quite a few hard rock acts come up here.

Lord Tim 01-20-2006 10:13 AM

If someone's willing to put on a decent sized show, we'd be interested in chatting to them.

Shattered_Future 01-20-2006 07:44 PM

I think you guys should play at my high school. You'll get a turnout of 4 people.

Actually, that's more sad than funny...:upset:

Lord Abortion 01-21-2006 11:23 AM

I see Riva made some additions so his avatar.
I don't like that Tarot cover though, much.

Stoic 01-21-2006 01:38 PM

I dont like the Lost Horizon cover. The Rhapsody one is the coolest.

Steerpike 01-21-2006 01:42 PM

The Rhapsody one is great, but the Primal Fear one is undisputably awesome as well.

Shattered_Future 01-21-2006 01:59 PM

I think the Tarot one is kinda lame...

Replace that with Reckoning Night. :thumb:

Stormwarrior? Who's that by?

With a cover like that, it's bound to be good. :amaze:

StormWarrior is my photobucket account name but a great speed metal band as well :p

Anyway, this album is called "Isle of Hyndra" and it's by Twisted Tower Dire (traditional heavy/power metal). I was so impressed by the cover artwork that I felt I had to buy the album and so did I. I think it's out of print now. For the record they're the first underground band I've ever got into. :)

Shattered_Future 01-21-2006 04:49 PM

Ah...good music then? Or does the cover art make it seem better than it really is? :p

Lord Tim 01-21-2006 08:01 PM

Man, I can't believe the ScaryMetalPooMonster Dungeon cover art is in there... my God, that was a terrible cover! :(

Steerpike 01-21-2006 08:34 PM

Stoic, I've really had time to absorb the Slough Feg album you sent me. I'd really love to do a spotlight on these guys, but I'd like to get a few more songs from some of their other albums before I put them on the list. Do you know where I can find them?

Shattered_Future 01-21-2006 10:03 PM

Speaking of Dungeon albums, I saw Resurrection in a cd store today, and I was thinking of picking it up. What are your thoughts on it?

I already have A Rise To Power, and quite like it.

Apocalyptic Raids 01-22-2006 12:01 AM

Resurrection is awesome. It's not as varied as A Rise To Power, but it's really catchy.

Lord Tim 01-22-2006 12:33 AM

Yeah, the song writing is a little simplistic but it's a good album all the same, and if you pick up the limited edition version you get 3 bonus tracks, a video clip, sticker, poster and bonus live CD from our first tour of Japan. Not bad! :)

JausmetalJ 01-22-2006 02:47 AM

/me goes and buys it.

I caught the album at screamers, but it was in a plastic slip.

Me want :(

Lord Tim 01-22-2006 05:48 AM

This is the LMP version too, BTW - completely different packaging to the Australian version.

JausmetalJ 01-22-2006 06:13 AM

Do you get anything in the Aust version?

And would I be able to buy it directly from you?

Apocalyptic Raids 01-22-2006 06:30 AM

Well I got the Aus re-release and it comes with a couple of bonus tracks but that's it.

JausmetalJ 01-22-2006 06:41 AM

Waiting for an alibi?
and... Playing to win?

Lord Abortion 01-22-2006 08:35 AM

It's pretty thrashy compared to the others, but I like it. The Japan Live album is worth it, and the album itself has I am Death on it, and Legend of a Huma, of course. And that makes any songwriting simplicity a moot point.
