Beck's Guero
It's been a very enjoyable release... good mixture of styles and experimentation. A very strong and stable release |

I Love You but I've Chosen Darkness
Pretty cool band (I think the name may be cooler than the band, however). Some nice stuff, though. |
Carnival in Coal = Disco pop + extreme metal

Ooooh! Sounds like fun. Dog Fashion Disco is a little like that too, although more on the "Mr. Bungle meets carnival music" side as well. |
I think I've heard "Yes, We Have No Bananas" by Carnival in Coal. It was..interesting.
I've mostly been listening to Conflict - The Ungovernable Force today. |
Listening to a bunch of Nick Drake today. I listened to some Arcade Fire and Death From Above 1979. I didn't like the latter as much as the former.
|
Nanook Of the North.
I dunno, it would have to compete with his own "Driving Down Highway 40."
Good point. That's another mind blowing song. My favorite Brak is actually probably "Yeah Buddy". |
And now that I've become more familiar with it, I'm diggin' das Pixies' Doolittle more that I was initially.

I was thinking if it was possible to make a food-related pun on a band name there. Totally missed that one. |
So I eventually had QOTSA for dinner.

pg. 99 is so fecking good.

There's this band on Leno now called the Doves. I saw their video on MTV2 but didn't catch the name; luckily their song is so catchy I remembered it.
Their singer is a left-handed bassist, so that makes him cool in my book. |
Joan of Arc are a cool band.
