How are you all this evening?

Yeah, she was posessed by an alien, anyone she drew got stuck inside of a piece of paper as a drawing, and she drew the olympics.

But yeah, tonight was fab, cant wait till next week.

GurS 07-01-2006 03:41 PM

yes, EVERYONE WHO'S SEEN DOCTOR WHO STFU PLZ

I've sky+'d it and my dad's taken over the telly for now.

AG 07-01-2006 03:52 PM

Or I'll kill you all.

GurS 07-01-2006 03:55 PM

seconded ++

Instead, let's discuss this:

Is there anyway to capo a single string?

If yes, when I get a new guitar, i'll keep my old guitar, re-string it with much lighter strings, remove the bottom e-string, capo the a string at the fifth fret, tune it to banjo tuning, and have a home-made electric banjo :)

jpshortstuff 07-01-2006 03:57 PM

banjos ftw.
i've never heard of a single string capo, but you never know. you might be able to modify 1 to do it.

GurS 07-01-2006 04:01 PM

i've heard that such a thing does exist for banjos, coz the fifth string is short, so mebbe i'll see if one of those will work on a guitar...

or just get a banjo on ebay for 80 quid :)

Auberge le Mouton Noir 07-01-2006 04:02 PM

Wow wasn't it amazing in doctor who how that face of bor swallowed rose whole and the only way the doctor can save her is to have a large series finale with re-use of expenisve costumes from all through both series

Lord Abortion 07-01-2006 04:03 PM

Yeah, I didn't see Dr Who either, it's been taped, I was too upset over England and forgot it was on.

AG 07-01-2006 04:03 PM

You can get single string Capo's that'll fret either the High or Low E string.

GurS 07-01-2006 04:05 PM

link?

and as an alternative to an 80 quid banjo off ebay, you can get a fancy epiphone one for 15 quid a month, eventually costing 400 and something quid

maybe a partial capo

GurS 07-01-2006 04:12 PM

hmm... if there was a 2-string partial capo, that would be poifect

PAJJ 07-01-2006 04:20 PM

i'm pretty sure it could be used for 2 strings, and maybe if you're clever 1, over then that but one and cut it short :p

GurS 07-01-2006 04:23 PM

true, true... i mean, I use a full-size shubb at the moment, but I can get it to only capo four strings... which is good, coz I wrote a funky song with the top four strings capo'd a while ago... which i've since forgotten :(

Mr. Black 07-01-2006 04:51 PM

Maybe the drink's coming back to kick my ass

The last time I felt like this was when I stayed up for 36 hours.

I'm a lightweight when it comes to staying up past 24 hours, I love sleep too much.

Lord Abortion 07-01-2006 05:05 PM

I have had no sleep for more than 40 hours before...last year at Leeds, then when I spent the night in Leeds Train station the second time a month later.
I didn't want to wake up with my wallet stolen, and my friends lying dead and arseraped on the platform.

ChodaBoy 07-01-2006 05:05 PM

I love sleep, but I always deprive myself of it by staying up till 6 everyday

Its not healthy
