I was a baptized Catholic, and went to church. Stopped at around the age of 10 and started to question my beliefs. I don't really follow any religion, I just have my own ideas about how things work. I do believe in a God, though.

After all, ideas are easier to change than beliefs.

It's good, a nice song for the radio to play. I like that kind of psuedo-country music.

Yeah, it's got that certain sound that basically makes it accessible to fans of any genre. Well not every genre, but like rock, blues, country, etc.

As of right now (up to TOYLL on disc 1) this album is amazing.

I've just seen Deep Purple, and they are good. Gillian still has a great voice, only con was that they didn't play Child In Time, but they did play Hush :)

As for religion my belifs are kinda complex and isn't an organized religion, but more of my own personal belifs. I belive that we all have a soul and we are all connected through that soul to create a collective unconsciance (i know I misspelled that) and our soul is all of the same entity and that entity is God. In other words the part of us that is greater than what we can see is God and we are all God, or at least a part of it. Just a theory it may change but at this point I'm happy with it.

Which brings me to an interesting topic. Favourite religion-related songs? Right away I start thinking of Gotta Serve Somebody, and Gospel Plow...I suppose most Bob Marley is religious too. What are some of your favourites? When The Man Comes Around is another good one.

Awaiting On You All has great lyrics. So does P2 Vatican Blues (Last Saturday Night). My Sweet Lord. Lots of George songs. Hear Me Lord would be okay if not for Spector's production. I think Spector did a pretty good job on ATMP, but he messed up a couple songs, including that one.

My Sweet Lord is pretty cool. But I thik Spirit in the Sky by someone Greenbaum is great. Uh Joe? No. I can't think of it, but it was a one hit wonder. Sweet guitar in it.

Badmoon you probably know this alread, but did you know Woody Guthrie had written a bunch of songs that were never recorded, and while he was in the hospital he told Dylan that Dylan could use them...so Dylan walked to Guthrie's familys farm, and they couldn't find the seconds. And then later on Wilco came into possession of the songs and used them.

I read that in Chronicles, but it might be well-known info for Wilco fans. I'm not sure. But I thought it was a cool story. How things just get passed down.

edit - Damn the Pizza Tapes are good. Who all plays on those? Is it just Garcia and Rice? Oh right and Grisman. That's probably it then eh.

By the way, has anyone in here ever heard of a band called The Lost Trailers? They are really good, not CR but a Southern, classic feel to them, but excellent lyrics and beautiful music. I might YSI Welcome To The Woods (my only album by them)
