I'm in a music slump right now. What I mean is that my wanted CD list isn't overflowing, in fact, I don't really have a wanted list right now.
That happens to me every once in a while, you'll probably discover a great new band any day now and won't be able to stop buying their stuff

Who sings the lead in Sugar Magnolia?
EDIT: Who screams in St. Steven?
/full of questions

I loved the story in Searchin' For the sound when Bob Weir used to climb up the scaffolding during the part in Sugar Magnolia when he wasn't playing, and for one show Phil nodded to Brent to start the song up early and caught him off guard while he was hanging from the scaffolding

EDITEDIT: NP_ Sugar Magnolia (Europe 72) Seriously diggin' the wah pedal

I had a period of that for a while with The Clash.
I think Ive spent about $1500 on Cds in the past 2 years..... I spend all my money on that, and guitar stuff.
Same here but i've spent a bit less on cds. Maybe only $1000.

magicfingers 08-17-2005 08:28 PM

I don't know how much I've spent on CDs... I have alot of money saved up but it's all going towards my new guitar.

Lunch 08-17-2005 08:29 PM

I'd say around $1500 for me too. Maybe a bit more.

BludgeonySteve 08-17-2005 08:30 PM

After I get my new amp, i'm not going to do any guitar spending at all for about 5 years. Exept for guitar strings, picks and all of that type of stuff.

Walrus Gumboot 08-17-2005 08:31 PM

No more than 200$ for me, perhaps my musical taste is limited to what my parents/friends/neighbors is/was. Save alot of money that way

EDIT: RNR, what if you make it big?

magicfingers 08-17-2005 08:32 PM

THat and I have to pay off this stupid computer... Im so far in debt to my parents... but if i pass this science placement test tomomorow i get $100 towards my new guitar from my mom... which would be nice =)

BludgeonySteve 08-17-2005 08:49 PM

I dunno yet. But it's going to be a decent one, I currenly have one of those $100 peavy blazer amps.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 08-18-2005 12:03 AM

I spent about 100 dollars this year on CD's yet I have obtained about 120 (actual) albums.

/loves when cd's are free

I have lost a number very good albums too those include albums like: Blow by Blow by Jeff Beck, s/t by The Doors, Live at Fillmore by The Allman Brothers, Forever Changes by Love, Meddle and WYWH by the Floyd, Bringing it All Back Home by Bob Dylan, Desrali Gears by Cream, American Beauty by the Dead, Bitches Brew by Miles Davis, Band of Gypsys and Axis: Bold as Love by Hendrix and probablly a few more.

As you can see this was a major blow to my Cd case. :(

*lost Led Zed Zeppelin III aswell*

*is glad it's gone*

Edit: I wore my Woodstock shirt 3 days in a row and I only got jumped 2 times.

*hates rednecks*

Illmatic 08-18-2005 12:40 AM

So I got an Epiphone for practically free today. It sucks, but it's fun to just wail away on.

Maybe Schyma lives in the deep south and was chased down by an angry mob... with pitchforks. And Toby Keith t-shirts,

DMV- Congrats on Live/Dead-- I might actually buy that if given the opportunity

Long story short: I ****ed up.
And why did you wear the same shirt three days in a row?
Woodstock happened 36 years ago starting last Monday and I thought it'd be cool to wear my brand new Woodstock shirt 3 days in a row.
how bad were the jumpings?
I was just kidding about getting jumped although I bet some people actuly do want to jump me. People HATE hippies 'round these parts.
Schyma, where do you live?
I've been on mx for over a year now. Jesus, I have no life.

Illmatic 08-18-2005 03:06 PM

Does anyone have Who Else? by Jeff Beck? It's pretty weird. Good, but some of the stuff on there does not sound like something you would expect by Jeff Beck.

Broken Arrow 08-18-2005 03:10 PM

Well I'm back with

The Beatles- Sgt. Peppers
Traffic-Mr. Fantasy
Jefferson Airplane-Surrealistic Pillow(bonus tracks)
2 copies of Pink Floyd-Ummagumma
Grateful Dead -Aoxomoxoa- (on viynl)

A book called that has these illustrated Beatles Lyrics.

A new acoustic/electric.

I realized that today when I caught myself looking forward to school.
I've been on mx for over a year now. Jesus, I have no life.
Man I'm pretty sure this is my 1 year anniversary for MX as well. I'm not sure the exact date I joined but it's close.

Alright....so you guys wanna know what I'm doing this weekend? Me and my friends signed up for volunteers for a festival in a hemp field. There are gonna be bands, a lot of reggae from what I've heard, some tribal fire dancing stuff, other such music. There's gonna be seminars on how to make basically anything with hemp (the festival is in a hemp field). The coordinators for this festival is a store (I'm not sure if it's just a local store or not) but it's called Vintage Vinyl and Hemp Emporium, which sells basically anything. Very cool albums, clothes, bongs, anything you could want. So anyways since we are volunteers we get VIP passes and we get to party all weekend with these guys...they said we should bring our guitars, and if we have a really big tent we should bring it because they still want to have a community bong tent. I think it's gonna be fun.

I just finished watching one of the disks from that Montery Pop Festival DVD I got from the library, I'm not sure who I liked the best, quite possibly Ravi Shankar.
