a lot of Berklee grads do p0rn music, so don't underestimate it.

"Full House" is a good album.

Gong are an awesome Prog Rock/Canterbury band. I went around hunting for at least one of their albums in the city a few months ago and stumbled across "Shamal". The band was formed by an Australian guitarist as well which always induce's a bit of patriotism. This albums moves away from their more psychedelic music as the two previous leaders of the band, the "pot head pixies" had left. It is a great prog rock album, the instrumentals such as "Bambooji" are interesting and "Wingful of Eyes", "Chandra" and "Shamal" are superb tracks.

It is very resourceful and introduced me to some great bands that I had previously never known about. I was actually listening to Breakfast In America today whilst playing with the harmonica on "Take the Long Way Home", great track. The building suspense on the piano and the harmonica as it lets loose, very nice. :cool:

Man this sounds like a great band! Could someone pleeeease upload some songs? I like the sound of them already. I could probably go for their more (or most...heh :smoke: ) psychedelic songs/albums but I will accept anything. I'm actually going downtown tomorrow, very bad things happened tonight (my friend broke his beautiful bong that we all love) and we gotta go downtown tomorrow to buy a new one, so I'll check them out at some music stores. Are they a fairly old band? If so I would rather have their vinyl than CD.

Oh ya, thickasabrick, about Famous Last Words, great album as expected. There's a couple songs on it (mostly Rick Davies lead) that are a little too pop/doowop for my taste, and there's actually some almost ballady material on it. But the first and last tracks on the album bring that nice, familiar, prog sound we've all come to know and love Supertramp for. Overall, solid album.

Oh ya, and that comment about Rick Davies was not meant as a shot against him, though IMO Roger Hodgson's voice is sooooo much better.

Meh...they aren't that great. Trippy stuff and fun to listin when you're really blown otherwise I'd stay away from them. I'm suprised anyone in this thread has ever listined to them. :thumb:

I'm not a big fan of the Canterbury scene anyway. It's put out a few quality psychedelic albums but the majority of it isn't that good.

I have Gong's Magick Brother, and it's alright. Nothing too great.
