Heh. My week is looking up. I was over at a friend's dorm this evening and got to test out a bunch of tricks for his friends. Their favorite was one where I shuffle up the deck and have them pick a card at random. I never see the card. They then right it down on a sheet of paper (again, I don't see it), and fold it up. Then, I burn it.

I take the ashes and rub them into my arm, and before their eyes, the name of their card appears on my skin in the ash.

Got a hell of a reaction from them. I need to nail just a few more tricks and I'm going to start doing stuff like this around town for tips.

In other news, an acquaintance told me that Drowning Pool got rid of that second singer guy and are trying to find a third singer guy. I'm sure you're all thrilled.

But I also received another solicitor spam mail from a fine fusty African gentleman walrus today:

My maths teacher could do that last year. It was awesome. He did a few other cool things as well but my mind has currently gone blank. I have no idea how he did them either.

The scary thing is that these ridiculous scams wouldn't still be around if no one was falling for them. Which means that somewhere out there, some nimrod has dollar signs in his eyes and is eagerly replying.

That's the beauty of it. I like to add a little spice to my routines by adding extra mystique as I'm talking. I do the ashes trick with a monologue about voodoo, and it really creeped everyone out.
