iPod
Jesus christ you posted that before i even had time to edit it to make it bigger.

Also, for me it's all about the Zune. For $250 you can get an 80 gig Zune or a 4 gig iPod Touch (i think, i'm not sure on the numbers for the Touch).

TimJim 02-18-2008 08:14 PM

:D

and for 250 you can get an 80GB iPod too

and you get iTunes to boot. zune media player sucks.

bobby__johnny 02-18-2008 08:15 PM

i love when people call in who have a VOIP phone service. call pissing me off. reset modem

trouble solved :p

fishbulb 02-18-2008 08:21 PM

Much bigger screen on the Zune and i'd rather have the touchpad than the click wheel.

iTunes is very slow and takes up over 50k memory to run but WMP is very fast and takes about 8k. So i'd rather use that than iTunes.

Plus i don't exactly like supporting Apple and i'd much rather see my money go to Microsoft because they're doing such an awesome job.

iTunes is probably the shittiest media player around. Winamp is much better.

No media player should slow down and start freezing as your music collection grows, and that's exactly what iTunes does.

Berk 02-18-2008 08:26 PM

ipod touches are pretty awesome

zildjianboy1984 02-18-2008 08:34 PM

there's plenty of great, free, software that works with ipods much better then itunes

Berk 02-18-2008 08:42 PM

Win A Rabbit 02-18-2008 08:46 PM

so i'm in the band. :)

i need to buy a new amp, though. mine's all the way up and still a little low in the mix. :(

Janeway 02-18-2008 08:47 PM

PSPs.

You can mod it to work as a phone. It's easier than hell to download PSP games for it, and it can emulate PSX, N64, SNES, NES, Sega, GBA, and (possibly) DS. You can watch videos and listen to mp3s on it, watch youtube videos, and surf the internet at a (sort of) reasonable speed.

Granted, a 32GB memory stick costs more than the system did in the first place. Still.

Yeah, it does.

And like fishbulb said, iTunes is slow as hell, and a system hog. Especially with a large library.

Chippy569 02-18-2008 08:54 PM

creative zen.

Berk 02-18-2008 08:57 PM

Exactly, i don't even have much music and it is already really slow for me.
oreally?

As Maggot Dream stated, yes it does.

Static 02-18-2008 10:22 PM

zune.

fishbulb 02-18-2008 10:50 PM

All of a sudden I really want to be able to play music off of an iPod/Zune in my car but there are some problems:

Zune/iPod would cost $250
Car stereo doesn't have an AUX input so i'd have to buy a different one or get a radio transmitter
Either way it would end up costing me over $300 for a little bit of added convenience.

My birthday is in July but it wouldn't be worth it since i'm leaving for college in September.

I have $400 in my bank account but that doesn't mean i want to spend all of it.

high toms sounded ok, the floor tom was pretty dead compared to them and the snare/kit sounded pretty flat/lacking in character. looks neat though

Sound clips seem great. Except for the kick drum, but I think that's just a weird tuning.

zildjianboy1984 02-18-2008 11:01 PM

rad sounding toms! kick sounded like it was fully of pillows

Electric Requiem 02-18-2008 11:03 PM

bass drum sounds like dribbling a basketball

bobby__johnny 02-18-2008 11:06 PM

those toms do rock. nice and deep, but they sing.

Nahie 02-18-2008 11:09 PM

i made 950 this week gotta love a lil overtime here and there heehee

bobby__johnny 02-18-2008 11:20 PM

New Pearl Vision series...anyone had any experience?

Win A Rabbit 02-18-2008 11:21 PM

i realized today that at my current pay, it would take about 40 years to make $500k.

not just to save $500k, but to actually make it in total.

:( i need a better paying job.

fishbulb 02-18-2008 11:21 PM

Where do you work? (directed more towards nahie, but liam you too)

I just went to VIC Firth to look at a proper grip and mine is pretty damn close to theirs so i'm glad that i naturally have a good grip. I just need to work on my doubles because i tend to put all the pressure on my index and thumb and i need to get my other fingers closer to the stick to build control (stick control, if you will).

Page rep'd by the way.

Nahie 02-18-2008 11:29 PM
