Yeah but say your number was 07965 123456, when you call someone it will come up as +447965 123456. Not sure if the same happens for house calls though, definitely happens on mobiles when you arent in someone's address book though.

Heh, the green slug is better than any of the original 150 (apart from dewgong, that thing was awesome)

I was carrying the schools hihats (on and with the stand) through a doorway, and was trying not to hit them on somehing below me (the cymbals were at eyelevel), then the rod hit the top of the doorframe and the cymbals smashed me in the forehead, (Yay, forehead full of Sabian B8 pro's :rolleyes: lol), and i have a bump & bruise in the shape of a line on my forehead :( lol twas funny but hurt alot.

Just thought i'd share.

What is it with the left foot clave? We drummers need something new to master, everybody's doing the left foot clave now. Not that it's a bad thing, but it just seems like we should explore some new areas.

Like cross stick clave?

I know what you mean, and I have the same qualm with the whole left foot clave thing. It's a shame that these sorts of things can be "fashionable" on an instrument, just like how at the moment it's fashionable to set your kit up with everything far too low, and completely flat.

I find it necessary for me though, as I am actually in a working latin band. I didn't need it before, because I primarily played timbales, but now the conga player (who was a really really excellent percussionist) has moved to Wales, and the drummer is abit on and off, and (without being bigheaded) my drumkit facility significantly surpasses his, so now the lineup has pretty much changed from congas, drums, and timbales, to just me by myself.


Actually it reminds me of a clinic story someone was telling me..

At the Q&A of an El Negro clinic, a man stands up and asks "Horacio, when did you first realise it's fashionable to play left foot clave?"

Horacio Hernandez stands there.. very puzzled. "I don't understand? You wanna know how long I been playing?!"
