hey brum i was wondering what dio solo album i should get next.

It must be good to name a band.
|
Look guys, I saw Ozzy. I suck at taking pictures.
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y149/nightrain1/ozzystar.jpg Okay anyways, I'm listening to War Pigs. Paranoid is awesome. |
Where was that taken from?
|
Hollywood walk of fame i would think rippa...
|
lolz @ Andy's avatar. i would guess Hollywood walk of fame as well for that picture as well though.
anyway, other than Dehumaniser, what Sabbath albums did Dio do? i'm thinking about getting another one. |
Heaven and Hell
Mob Rules Live Evil Heaven and Hell is an essential purchase. |
Heaven and Hell

On that page there is the gatefold picture to We Sold Our Souls For Rock 'n' Roll. I think brum has a very special edition. |

there greatest album is easily paranoid |
my favorite songs are the wizard and into the void
my favorite songs are the wizard and into the void
there greatest album is easily paranoid
 No. Each to their own opinion, but still... No. |
No. Each to their own opinion, but still... No.
Agreed (That it isn't their best, I prefer SBS and a few others) but why do you hate Paranoid so much? War Pigs, Planet Caravan, Iron Man and Fairies Wear Boots are top notch songs, Paranoid and Electric Funeral are good and catchy if not brilliant, and the other two aren't bad either. |
I only really still listen to Electric Funeral and Faires Wear Boots myself.

This thread is dying again. Trivia again. Two questions.
What Deep Purple singer was originally intended to sing on Tony Iommi's original solo album? Who was actually playing with Tony but not considered a member of Black Sabbath because there was no band at the time? |
I saw a Black Sabbath box set for sale at a music store - "Under Wheels Of Confusion 1, 2, 3 & 4" whats good about it, whats bad about it? i know it covers a large era of Sabbath so obviuosly more than just Ozzy and Dio. advise? think its about NZ$60 which i think is about US$30 - $40 good buy or not?
|
Ive never heard of it. Is it a best of set?
And someone try to answer my trivia, I am quite proud of these. |

I'm not sure about the other one, I have a feeling its a singer though from around 1985...? To the guy who asked about the box-set - from what I've seen of it, it looks like a pretty good buy if you're just getting into Sabbath. |

Sounds like an unofficial compilation someone has thrown together, but it cant be any worse than the "best of" black sabbath I had a chance to get the best of that was made in the 70s awhile ago but i didnt realise what it was so i didnt :upset: |

That looks kind of like it, i here it is rather rare aswell
|
I've only ever seen it on cd once, and a few times on vinyl.
Useless fact: It was the first Sabbath album I took from my Dad's collection, before he gave me all of them. |
ah well im sure i will live without it, afterall i have paranoid so what other sabbath albums do i need?:p
|
You need this ULTRA RARE version of Volume.4 with its ULTRA RARE cover.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v196/Lord_Brummington/sabvol4.jpg |
Wow i want that, its sad to think that that is still better than alot of artwork you get
(i saved the picture onto my comp) |
Gotta hate the vol. 4 cover.
|
Gotta hate the vol. 4 cover.
My version is better  |
Ill answer the first question. It was David Coverdale, the third Deep Purple singer.
|
That ultra rare cover is pretty awesome.
|
Hehe yeah, good one brum, I really enjoyed that.
|
Its ULTRA RARE.
Almost like an ULTRA KILL. /unreal tournament |
This isn't Sabbath related, but Brum, I'm about to steal your avatar. I just watcehd The Two Towers the other weekend and we've been in love with that scene ever since.
|
Fair doo's.
I have a bigger version of it aswell if you want. |
Well seeing as this thread is going along nicely again. Ill answer the second trivia question. It was Jeff Fenholt, very hard actually. If you wanna know more about this guy go to the line-up page on www.black-sabbath.com
|
ok, well i bought the set, it covers Sabbath from Jun68 (lineup = Ozzy, Bill Ward, Geezer Butler, and Tony Iommi) till Jun88. in this time, Sabbath had 12 different lineups. the box set contains a "family tree" and shows how and where band members came from/went to. for example "after a day of drinking, Ian Gillian woke up to find he'd agreed to become sabbaths new singer" :p
so far, sounds good, especially like the later stuff, haven't really herd much of it before |
