seems to be a few bands getting their songs heard in soundtracks to major motion pictures
|
Too bad I missed out on Mogwai last sunday because of illness
that would have been a cool show to go to |
new grails LP came in the mail today, pretty excited about that
|
honestly post rock seems to be dying out as far as mainstream popularity is concerned. it kinda peaked 2 or 3 years ago in that regard.
|
Anyone know of any sweet underground post-metal bands?

pelican
isis cult of luna stick to your guns |
@feav233:
Yeah, I'm sure I've missed something.. But noone wanted to go with me and I was a little sick, so.. @Nepenthe: Hm, maybe we're late to the "hype" here overseas. I reckon that happens with trends sometimes, a kind of delay. @TheReverend724: I don't know if you'd categorize them as Post-"Metal" (most of the time they're rather mellow), but you could give Daturah a listen. They're from Frankfurt and have released two albums. I don't know where you can find their releases in the USA, but you can listen to some of their tracks on their myspace-page: http://de.myspace.com/daturah |
sweet man, I'll check them out

I got a shit load of post-metal though so I gotta sort through those first before I check out any new stuff. But I'll put it on my neverending list of bands/albums to download. Anyone dig Koloss? |
^^ i downloaded Koloss - End Of The Chayot some time ago, but never actually listened it, is it good ?
|
I like it, nothing groundbreaking but it's good in its own right
|
listened to Pelican - The Fire in Our Throats Will Beckon the Thaw for the first few times within the past week. enjoyed it quite a bit.
