El-P with Dizzee Rascal and Busdriver.
Holy crap what an awesome show. My problem with Dizzee shows, is that he brings in a pretty crappy crowd, in Australia anyway. I dig his stuff though, in moderation. |
Atmosphere was something I got into right when I started listening to underground hip hop so it's always held a soft spot for me.
this He's good live. And I think most of his new stuff is better than most of his old stuff. I gotta see if El-P is playing near me. |
I'm excited for Busdriver, to be honest. His albums can be meh but there are always some amazing stand out tracks.
|
Busdriver is reeaally good live, and when I saw him I didn't even know any of his stuff. He gets really into though and everyone has a good time.
Give me a reason to go get Lifestyles Ov Da Poor And Dangerous or whatever the title is. People seem to be whoring it on the net lately but I've never once heard it mentioned outside RYM or Last.fm, which is odd for a hip-hop album.
He has more dimes than that sprint lady. Big L is awesome, if you haven't heard MVP you should. Because you know, his raps are unbelievable like aliens and flying saucers. |

Lee Majors is a mystery man. He sounds whack but whatever. Like a Lupe Fiasco with less ferocity. |

In hip-hop lines are often stolen from an artist and used by another, often in my opinion to pay tribute. Beats are also reused. Some of the examples I have found are as follows.
Boombox-Aesop Rock Da Mystery of Chessboxin'-Wu-Tang Clan "raw I'ma give it to you, with no trivia" Always Coming Back Home To You-Atmosphere Shook Ones Part II-Mobb Deep "to all the killers and the hundred dollar billers" Letter From the Gov't-Brother Ali Officer-The Pharcyde "I got a letter from the..." and then the same can be done with beats in example. Creation & Destruction-Immortal Technique Long Kiss Goodnight-The Notorious BIG My question for you is can you help me find similar examples |

"I got a letter from the government" is from Public Enemy. "Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos." In fact, the Pharcyde sample Chuck D saying it. Kanye West on "Classic" Rob Base on "It Takes Two" |
