you had IVs in your arm? I just went in, couple of shots in the gum, pulled out the teeth, i was fine.

Icky_Mettle 06-10-2006 10:44 PM

Just watched City Of God. Fucking incredible movie, it was.

Futuro 06-10-2006 10:50 PM

Yeah that movie is amazing. One of the best films IMO.

PandaDrummer 06-10-2006 10:59 PM

yeah, mine had to be cut out, because they hadn't surface yet

Sunshine 06-10-2006 11:29 PM

Ew, I absolutely HATE John Steinbeck.

I think the only thing worse than The Grapes of Wrath was The Red Pony...and those are the only 2 of his books I've ever read. Thank God English 101/102 don't stress reading of books, but poetry and short stories and easy crap.

My stomach hurts. There were these potheads, and they reeked like HELL, and smelling them made my stomach hurt. Freaking weed =/

Josiah 06-10-2006 11:35 PM

I'm mkaing a 8x7" acrylic snare.. it's goign to have a wrap finish. What should I go for?

Planning on tube lugs.

Epiphender 06-10-2006 11:56 PM

Wow, if I wanted something acrylic, I'd keep the original transparent color for sure. That possibility is actually pretty much the only thing I really like about acrylic drums. Good choice on the tube lugs. Chrome? For wraps I'd definitely go with a sparkle. My favorites are white (actual white glitter), turquoise, and light orange. Are you keeping this drum for yourself?

Josiah 06-11-2006 12:41 AM

Oh i agree, however the shells are actualyl shedcual 40 plastic.. so slightly different, but very ugly. Hence i need to wrap them. I'm making 2.. I may giveoen away if I don't screw it up (one for test)

Epiphender 06-11-2006 01:16 AM

You could always paint them too, but I don't know if you care enough to do that. Buying your wraps online?

Josiah 06-11-2006 01:21 AM

Yea, I thought about it. Just not worth the effort.. haha. Prob just order some wrap online from whoever has what I want. It'll look decent at least. I got the shells for 50 cents each, so I can't really complain.Came with edges cut in em too.

prb just go with soem blue sparkle with the chrom tube lugs/rims

Seafroggys 06-11-2006 01:23 AM
yeah, mine had to be cut out, because they hadn't surface yet
same here. Actually, one was in, two were still inside the gums, and i didn't have a fourth.

Do they even make snare wires in 8" models?

Green wrap (sparkle or some such), with gold hardware.

White 06-11-2006 09:54 AM

Yo Gz!, haha jk. But ya, What do you guys think about the AA rock Crash????? worth 150$???? thanks

Ming-a-Ling 06-11-2006 10:02 AM

What size is it? I think that's about how much the 16" ones cost. If you have heard it and like it go for it I guess. If you haven't heard it, Rock varieties are generally thicker and you have to hit them harder to get a good sound out of them. I personally don't like them that much.

White 06-11-2006 10:10 AM

ya, its a 16" but you say you ahve to hit them hard to get a good sound out of them????damn lol, I play pretty lightly. but would crashing on it lightly still get a good sound would you say????

Ming-a-Ling 06-11-2006 10:12 AM

I've never played a AA rock crash, just lower level ones, like Pro and B8 Pro, but for those ones they didn't sound very good if you played them lightly, but sounded fine if you really layed into them. Since you sound like you haven't really played on a rock crash before, I'd try to make it a point to get to a store and try one out.

White 06-11-2006 10:17 AM

ya ahah don't worry I am trying it out before I buy it lol, but ya, A guy is offering me a used one (in excellent condition) for 150$ I figured snce the AA series isn't sold around here, maybe i should go for this, Also he says he has a pretty wicked Hi hat stand for only 50$ (Im waiting to find out what kind it is) but ya, I tihnk I might go for it. thanks. g2g c ya
