Today Oprah was objectifying the HIV crisis in South Africa. That, and they flew a correspondent and crew over there (most likely in a private jet of some sort, it's Oprah after all) to stand infront of women and talk about how poor they are. Oh the irony. And then of course, they had multiple closeups of flies crawling on the people's skin.

My mom said it's all for educating us.

There's a HUGE difference between educating us on HIV and pointing to 30 people (I'm reluctant to say that the show even acknowledged they were infact living humans) and showing flies crawling on them, all in the name of ratings, which = money.

Yea I totally agree man... If they just sent all the money that filming that show cost them to some sort of HIV/AIDS foundation, a lot more could have been accomplished.

What do You Call A person who makes cymbals? is their a certain name for them, because I ahve been doing alot of thinking for my future and I ahve decided on these 3 options

A) Priest
B) Own A Music Shop
C) Drum or cymbal builder.

That or a Philosopher haha, and philosophy wont make me to much money so I don't realyl plan on having that as my masters degree in university.

So what do you think of my options?

Ok, seriously. Stop with the priest hating...this is gtting really old. I happen to go to school on the same campus as the largest Benedictine monastery in the world, and I can safely say that the monks and priests here are some of the coolest, most intelligent and devout people I have ever met, heard of or talked to.

Seriously...our theater director, Br. Paul, used to be a ringmaster for a nationally-known circus, and one of my teachers, Br. Joe, has a masters in philosophy, is an amazing runner and speaks swahili. Our head of school, Fr. Tim, said if we found him a star trek costume, he would wear it for halloween (he bears an incredible resemblance to william shatner)

As to that sex scandal stuff, there were a couple cases of that on our campus, including a father who used to work at my school. He's ****ing ruined now, can't leave campus, and you want to know why? Because of a relationship he had with another guy when he was 19 in the 70's, before he even entered the monastery.

It depends on the kit, I'd say. I don't like black hardware much, but gold can be amazing. Just look at mysticalyeti's kit.

Yeah, I find that Catholics in general tend to be less hypocritical about their religion. The branch of Christianity I have a problem with is the more fundamentalist sects, especially televangelists such as Pat Robertson.
