Well, Mayhem was a gas. It was quite fun, actually, short and sweet, I guess. I mean, I'm home already, and I got here by midnight, including the bus ride. They were great, though. It was a really fantastic show. No freakin' encore. I did my best to flirt with Necrobutcher, though, while everyone else was flirting with Necrobutcher, hee...
I'd say, the mosh pit was decent, though couldn't really compare with that one for the last song of the Inquisition show. The crowd was huger at the Dimmu, Enslaved show, and the Cradle, Nachtmystium gig, but, gotta say, Mayhem had the most awesomely gorgeous crowd I have seen at a gig in ages...or, well, like, ever... So, I started out standing really close to the stage, over by the end, at the front. I was right behind this guy with these really tremendous dreads, and every time he would head bang, he would just throttle me, right in the face with these massive dreads. (I mean, they were lovely, but deadly.) So, I'm, like, 'This isn't going to work out', and, so I moved over into the crowd, and the next thing I know, I'm standing right in front of Necrobutcher, directly behind this guy with the most awesome auburn hair. So, like, every time he would head bang, he would just flog me with this amazingly light, Nexus, lavender smelling hair, and, OMG...I'm like, 'Ok, good heavens, this is so much better'...hee... ...So, anyway, yeah, it was a hella fun gig, and I would have flirted with Necrobutcher more if so many other people hadn't been flirting with him. Necrobutcher looks right at you, though. It's amazing, unlike those guys from Pale Chalice who look right through you, lol. I just wish it had lasted a little longer. Also, I liked Atilla way more than I thought I would. The highlight for me was, I met a bass player, and talked about putting a band together, which is always the best thing that could happen at a gig... Keep of Kalessin seemed like a fairly decent band, though, I don't know what they must have done to the sound guy last time they came through. If I was the singer for that band, I would have been really pissed, for sure, because you couldn't hear him at all. Nothing quite like watching a guy who's screaming at the top of his lungs so hard that his veins are bulging out all over, and you can't hear any damn vocals coming out of the speakers at all. I don't know, but they gotta be a little bit pissed, right now. The singer didn't seem fazed by it, though, and he still worked the crowd quite well, considering... Well, that's it for the gig of the year, as far as I could tell, in SF. (See you guys next time you bring a little Norway back around)... Cheers, all... |

Thanks...
Mayhem gig review that spends more time talking about hair than music. Fukk yeah, Black Metal!
I swear, my face still hurts, on one side, this morning, from that guy's dreads. The sweet one was from LA, of course. Not from here. I did try to recruit him for my band. The bass player I met was luckily from here...
mayhem is coming here in a few days, couldnt be bothered to go see em
Well, I would say, if you do go, don't try doing anything like going off to the restroom, or for a smoke break...or, like, blinking more than once while they're on stage, because you would probably miss half the set. I have a feeling that might piss you off a bit... ...but, yeah, I think you should go, because girls out there want to meet guys...
coming here in a couple weeks, im considering going
I really hope you do. It feels worth it the second they start to play Freeing Moon...
flirting with Necrobutcher
Serious, it was the most amazing thing. Can make no mistake, that man is loved. I really thought at some point, if the barrier wasn't there, they would have pulled him right off the stage, and who knows what. He actually holds his own pretty well on stage with those two seriously happenin' new guitar players they have now...with all those people screaming, "Necro...Necro"... ...then, again, I may have started all that...ah... |

...Oh, well, in that case, by all means you should stay home. There probably won't be another gig like this for about a year, so will be ok...
that chick has weird grammar
...this is so true...especially where commas are concerned... ...Some things, I guess, I just don't care a lot about anymore. Heavy Metal guys, very much...grammar, not so much...
is there even a single original member in Mayhem now
There is Necrobutcher, hence all the adulation...
if hellhammer is still their drummer
That would have been too great, I suppose. I kept trying to look and see if it was him, but I really don't think so. Drummer was very well hidden by a pretty efficient wall of drums and lights. I think if it had been Hellhammer he would have stood up and greeted us. Didn't Hellhammer injure himself a few years back when he was playing with Dimmu Borgir, or something, and had to quit? Their drummer was pretty fabulous, though. I can't complain about any of their newer members. Man, those new guitar players kick ass, for sure... ...gosh, you guys, you usually run racetracks around me about this stuff...wass up? Hee... ...Oh, yeah, what's this about Tsjuder is back...? Holy shit, yeah...!! I love Krypt, but would be quite happy with having both bands around. Do you know Krypt was playing out with a female guitar player, for a while? That was a pleasant shock for me, I would say. I said to a friend of mine, "It's so cute how she keeps looking over at Nag." He said, "Well, you usually try to pay attention to the leader of the band, don't you?" I said, "Yeah, but it's still cute"... Krypt: 2008: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyiPaccmx0U ...and, check it out, if you haven't already seen this one...freaking awesome: Tsjuder, 2011: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6wpQSpSIzQ |
would you have phone sex with Necrobutcher
do you think he'd be sweet or menacing |
i tried to sext one time and it sucked
|
was it a one way msg to someone saying blow me
|
would you have phone sex with Necrobutcher
do you think he'd be sweet or menacing
Wow, that's a loaded question, hee. I really hate phone sex, mostly because I had to do it for a living a long time ago, for about year, so I could get the money together to go to England for six months. I burned out on that, really quick. What a tease, for all parties concerned, lol. Anyway, could think of more fun things to do with Necrobutcher... ...to answer your other question, I think he would be a little of both... He certainly isn't the last guy in the world I would be interested in. There's something about the way he moves, like he couldn't give a shit what you thought about him. That whole exorcism thing was such a joke, and he took a lot of flack for it, but watching it was interesting. You could really see how the two men were working from completely different points of spirituality. Score one for Paganism. I really would have liked to have jumped on the back of his motorcycle at the end, and ridden off with him, but, in truth, I'm just in love with all talented people. It doesn't have to be physical, though. I'm perfectly happy just to be inspired artistically... It was so funny, last night, because I did get to talk to a few people outside after the show. I was talking to one guy and he said, how much he enjoyed. I said, "Yes, I couldn't take my eyes off Necro, at times." He was teasing me, and he said, "Yeah, Necro is kind of a babe." It flashed in my mind, like, 'OMG, you've been reading my posts'...and, then, 'Uh-ho, they guys from Sputnik sent you after me, didn't they? The jig is up. Is my life in danger?", lol... No, just kidding. I do get nervous coming here, sometimes, though. You guys are hard ass here, but it's good for me, like having big brothers again or something... ********************************************************* Ok, about Mayhem, I confess...am really still so in love with Dead. Yes, am in love with a dead man (among others). How sick is that. hee? I've been making vids, lately. I wanted to show some of them to you guys, but have been way too scared. I want to post some, now, though. These are like my student vids, or something. I'm learning how to make them for my own music, so I've been working on it a bit. Some of them may be too risque to post here, dunno. I don't know what too risque even means to you guys, ah ha, but I should probably be a bit careful in any case. I do have a lot of YT pages, though, so will post at least some of those, here. All the YT pages listed in the 'other channels' section are mine, also. (Yes, am insanely prolific on YT, more confessions, sigh)...and yes, my vids are girly, what do you expect? Anyway, I hope you will enjoy at least some of them... Cheers, all... Are all of those your YouTube channels? Why so many?
Are all of those your YouTube channels? Why so many?
Yes, they are all mine. I did put so many of them together for a couple of reasons. One reason was to chronicle and keep track of my favorites. Youtube only lets you favorite so many vids per page (650, though I managed to slip 1500 of them onto one page, somehow. I don't know why that one is different.) You can keep making playlists, but can only display so many of those at a time, as well. I used to make a lot of MySpce pages for people, but I got bored with that, and decided to concentrate on YT. I try to avoid favortiting brand new music, though, unless it's concert footage, because I think it's just mean. I try to concentrate on mostly archaic Black Metal because it's hard to find, and, of course, I like it a lot. The other reason, yes, definitely, is publicity for my band and networking. I'm also trying to put together another performance group. Unfortunately, there's none of my original music on any of the pages at this point, because I haven't found a really good guitar player, yet. Well, I found one, but he's really busy and I don't get to work with him enough. He has another band. The singer has another band. You know how that goes. So I'm placing ads like crazy, now. I decided to take some time of from searching for musicians, to learn how to make vids. Now, I have to get back to the search for the ultimate guitar player, hee...and, yes, it has to be a man. I broke through that segregation boundary a long time go, for myself, and I ain't going back any time soon...
No one likes any band that much, she absolutely has to be a promoter.
You got me on that one. I guess, I'm kind of a 'want to be' promoter, hee. I love the idea of talent scouting. Give me a little time, and we'll see how good I am at that aspect of it all. I had six actors lined up for my theater troupe, once, but no money or production to speak of. So, I lost them all to plays. (The performance art we did in the old days was of someone else's financial responsibility, so I didn't have to worry about all that, then.) Talent comes and goes, I suppose. I just wish talent would stick around long enough for me to do something with it, before it forgets that it is talent, lol. I have more equipment, (keyboard, cameras, recording equipment, etc) now, than I had when I was younger, so still am so excited about it. It's so much fun, even just trying...
she only likes hair
Yes, I absolutely am infatuated with hair...but, you know, I think a whole lot of men with short hair are glorious, to. It really depends on the person, and maybe their mood at the time. A buzzcut can be pretty happenin', as well. One of my exes really was afraid to come home one night, though, because he got a haircut. The first thing I said when I saw him was, "What?" He did it for a job, though...
I like your taste in movies blaze
Thank you, so much. I really need to work on those pages, a little bit, because have been so obsessed with the Metal and all...and, my Punk pages are seriously lagging, I think. Not sure how much time I will have for it, though, when, hopefully will be recording... |
