Who played at Woodstock besides Jimi? My pappy constantly talks about how awesome it was, even though he was only there for one day, too much mud apparently.

Where'd you see it at, Eric?
jpj=Eric, right?
Yep, that's me. It was at the Post-Gazette Pavilion in Burgettstown, PA. It's and outdoor venue, pretty nice place.
Santana CSNY The Who Ravi Shankar Joan Baez Mountain Janis Joplin Sly & the Family Stone Grateful Dead CCR Joe Cocker The Band Ten Years After Johnny Winter
Canned Heat Arlo Guthrie Jefferson Airplane Richie Haven Country Joe Paul Butterfield Blues Band Sha Na Na I think that's about all of them. |
That list looks like what could be the best line up ever, The Band I think where the Greatful Dead's openers i think.

Ten Years After = Underrated.
I've been meaning to listen to them sometime
Uploads++ I told you the DMV would be back
 Hey, everyone. I've been away for quite a long time working and then I had vacation. Glad to be back, though. I got an awesome Grateful Dead shirt a week or two ago. EDIT: So I was beleived to be dead? |
Hey DMV :)
And yes, Ten Years After are very underated. |
Just got back from Steve Miller :D Awesome show! He played a bunch of blues with George Thorogood in the middle of the show, and of course all radio hits you could ask for. Joseph Wooten (Victor Wooten's brother) was the keyboardist and during Fly Like an Eagle he rapped, it was surprisingly very cool.
During the blues part of the show with George they played a song called Love Ramba, and it sounded almost exactly like Black Magic Woman. They played Stranger Blues by Elmore James which has the same riff as Ray Charles'" What'd I Say", I thought that was interesting.
You saw Steve Miller? Lucky, lucky, lucky. |
DMV, nice avatar. I also got a Dead shirt recently, but it's a plain one that just has the skeleton on the front.
|
The only Ten Years After song I've heard is "I'd Love To Change The World", but I like that song. Alvin Lee's guitar solo in it is one of my personal favorites.
|
I have four of their albums and they are all very good. Alvin Lee is an excellent guitarist.
|
Who are Ten years After, Enlighten me
|
I don't even have a 10 Years After album. I download a few songs by them a couple of months ago (from Lunch) and they expired in a week. Only when I download from Lunch I have that problem. "I'm Going Home" was one of the best proformances from Woodstock. I'd really like to hear an album. :)

That is weird, sorry about that. I'd offer to send you and album, but I don't have two years on my hands right now. |
Speaking of Woodstock.......This Monday will be the 36th aniversery of it. I will wear my new Woodstock shirt for 3 days starting Monday.
Edit: This also means I will take back my old Woodstock avatar. *disclaims any supposed theivery*
I shoudl wear my woodstock shirt too. It is got knows how old, my hippie aunt gave it to me in 6th grade. It has 9 (3x3) dove/guitar logos with the colors fading from red to purple (and everything in between) and "Woodstock Music Festival" in yellow at the bottom. It is also threadbare, a few sizes too big and is sporting more than one hole. And I really would wear it Monday through wednesday, but I have a college interview at Middlebury on Tuesday(where I believe about 27% get accepted) and I don't think that would go over so well  I'm totally wearing it on Monday and Wednesday though |
Makes me wish I had a Woodstock shirt.

I got my Prom dress in Woodstock :p |
I saw a guy wearing a tye-dye Pink Floyd shirt today.
|
I like the red shirt on that last link. I think I'll get it.
I like the red shirt on that last link. I think I'll get it.
If I were to get one, I'd pick that one. I'm not a fan of the tye-dye look. np: Thin Lizzy - The Boys Are Back In Town  |
I wish they had a red tie dye one, but alas. The red one was the best.
|
I have the red one.
My Woodstock DVD is ****ed up though. :( |
