The Chemist 06-08-2006 01:07 PM

they're they're, thats OK

in a couple months you'll just stop caring about properness.

Janeway 06-08-2006 01:31 PM

Barbie said she was straight too, but I got her in the end.

Just before she imploded.

It took me until the 8th grade to get that whole 'there, their, they're' rule.
That an the 'your/you're' thing.
AQA or Edexcel normally
Edexcel > AQA tbh.

I'm on edexcel for all of my exams.

Vannaroth 06-08-2006 01:41 PM

Edexcel come up with some of the most repetetive papers ever written.

Which is kind of good because you can look at past papers and be sure to see questions repeated

Janeway 06-08-2006 02:01 PM

I'm in a horrible mood.
=/

I have a math exam tomorrow, and I have to go to a review class at 6 tonight.
I just want to sit at home on my fat ass and read.

trysthedrummer 06-08-2006 02:01 PM

Oh yeah. I remeber we went over tonnes of past edexcel papers for maths, and in the exam the questions were pretty much the same, however just reworded and things.

It won't change since they have areas in the exam that the teachers need to teach, so some things you wont see.

The edexcel music paper from last year was a pile of piss.

Epiphender 06-08-2006 02:31 PM

My electrical engineering exam was almost exactly the same as the sample. Some of the questions were exact. I did great in that course

Sunshine 06-08-2006 02:48 PM

The difference is that I actually am straight.

Not that it really matters.

Hah, my mom's a grammar nazi, so I had to learn the "their, they're, there" thing early on. My teachers in elementary school all thought my parents were writing my papers for me.

that reminds me of the time back in high shcool when a friend of mine stole a copy of our spanish II test from the teacher's desk, made copies and gave it to us.

we filled out the answers using out notes then stuck it under our desk when the test started.

when the teacher wasn't looking, we did the ol' switch-a-roo. put the blank test under my our desks and pulled out the completed one. we justed waited about fifteen minutes before turning it in.

we even made sure to make different intentional mistakes so all our test were different.

Epiphender 06-08-2006 03:06 PM

Our Spanish class was a joke. I used to sit in that class and color. The teacher wrote down a note that me and some friends were going to get detention one time. We took the note when she wasn't looking and she forgot all about it.

Janeway 06-08-2006 03:13 PM

Oooh, dang.
Protective, aren't you?

It's okay. I still haven't gotten over Barbie.

I hate rings.
And my digital camera.

Spanish is just such an easy language. Plus it helps that my exams was just a pile of piss. You only needed to get something like 39/50 to get full marks. (some screwed up weighting there)

samsamthegiantman 06-08-2006 03:15 PM

Anyone here ever hear Portable Folk Band?

Janeway 06-08-2006 03:39 PM

Spanish is not fricken' easy.
It's hell.

I mean, there are like...25 different dialects, and I'm still having trouble with conjugating to the past tense. I'm in my third year, man.
They said I would do great in foreign language, because I'm good at english.
But no. I fail. Consistently.

I thought it would eventually just click like english did, but it still hasn't happened. =/

Epiphender 06-08-2006 03:40 PM

Nah, the course wasn't easy. It was a Spanish 9 to beginner Spanish 11 course, all to be completed over the one year, when I was in 9th. Then in 10th I took Spanish 11, which was considerably harder than it should have been since I didn't have the prereqs down so good. As languages go, though, it's one of the easier ones for sure.

Double Bass Jim 06-08-2006 03:41 PM

Spanish guitar is sweet though

Janeway 06-08-2006 03:41 PM

Eeech. I'm off to my review class for a subject that I'm going to fail.

I passed gym, though.
That's only one thing I've got to endure in summer school, atleast.

Epiphender 06-08-2006 03:44 PM

Hahaha Jim that was random.

Double Bass Jim 06-08-2006 03:49 PM

I like it

You'll eventually succumb to Pespi's charm. All do.

Jezen 06-08-2006 05:16 PM

She moans about everything, yet everyone enjoys it. Odd.

Epiphender 06-08-2006 05:26 PM

Nah it kinda pisses me off sometimes. Sic does it too

Zildjian 06-08-2006 05:27 PM

I finally got my recorder working!! So you guys know if there is way to transfer cassettes to cd's??

Jezen 06-08-2006 05:38 PM
Nah it kinda pisses me off sometimes. Sic does it too
Haven't heard from him in a while. Maybe he went back to the golf course?

milkmit 06-08-2006 05:38 PM
Nah it kinda pisses me off sometimes. Sic does it too
me too sometimes, but I'm sure she doesn't think too highly of my wannabe hippie *** either.

fact is she likes ani difranco, though. that makes everything else ok. :)

Quinto 06-08-2006 06:14 PM

ani difranco is pretty good, id say great but my mom listens to her so that ruins it.

but Joe Morello eats people with his superior drumming and sing sing sing solos that he copies from gene krupa

Sunshine 06-08-2006 06:48 PM
You'll eventually succumb to Pespi's charm. All do.
If the lesbians in real life can't turn me, I doubt one on the internet can.

BUT LIKE I SAID. It matters not, really. It's all kind of silly.

Spanish...I took it for 6 years and don't know a word of it. K-5th grade. It sucked.

Japanese is so freaking much easier =/

Ming-a-Ling 06-08-2006 06:56 PM

Don't be too quick to write her off. She is capable of amazing things.

Berk 06-08-2006 07:01 PM

That right, She's a lesbian.
They all are capable of amazing things.

Sunshine 06-08-2006 07:02 PM

I still don't think she will.

Or wants to.
