A drummer and guitarist is better then nothing.
True, it just isn't much fun jamming with. I'd rather just sit in my room and play with backing tracks. But I'm probably going to go post some wanted adds in the music stores around here. Damn, too bad you don't live closer. Do you have a full band?

Still in the works. Not yet, we still need a singer.

I'm going to go pass out.

Nite all.

ArcLite 03-08-2005 01:15 AM
Cool, wish I had people to jam with...

-Hey Madey
I know exactly how you feel, man. It's hard to find people here to just jam with.

Ramsey 03-08-2005 02:06 AM

YES! I found it!

Here is the site where Chimp_spanner got his drum samples.

Now my drums sound authentic :D

ArcLite 03-08-2005 02:08 AM

Cool. Hows the song coming?

Terribly. :upset: I scrapped it.

I realized programming drums require alot of patience and talent.

SO i'm investing to buy a keyboard.

Po0osH 03-08-2005 02:09 AM

wow this thread is huge.

A good plan, I gave up on self done drum programming a long time ago. I only use the backing tracks now, but those don't help much for doing my own stuff. You'll have to let me know how that keyboard works out for you.

Yeah, sounds pretty good. Doesn't have as much techno sound as most other drum synths do.

Its very meaty. I love it. And very excellent sound quality.

br3ad_man 03-08-2005 03:23 AM

What model of keyboard are you thinking of getting Ramsey? The Korg Triton series are close to the best performance keyboards out there, but for recording, the Yamaha Motif's are great. My mate has a Yamaha Motif 7, it's very good. I am in the process of recording an album with a band for school at the moment. Our music teacher made up all of the demos using his Motif. They sound really good too, almost good enough to release.

opeth_oasis 03-08-2005 03:27 AM

i'd say any Yamahas are good, i myself have a pretty basic one, Yamaha PSR-270

I don't know really. I'll tell you what i'm looking for specifically.

- Abillity to record USB (like a pod) for great sound
-Ability to assign .wav files to individual keys from a computer (Read: Upload them to my keyboard, from my computer) so that I can play these keys in succession, for example uploading drum files I have on to my keyboard so that I can play them on the keyboard
- Presets, like mandolins, violins, etc.
- And CHEAP! I want nothing less than 500$! Even thats too crazy for me!

So thats all I really want in a keyboard. No more no less.

Anyways, I should be in bed.

br3ad_man 03-08-2005 03:51 AM

I'll ask my music teacher for you, he's a hardcore keyboard dude, sponosered by Yamaha.

opeth_oasis 03-08-2005 03:56 AM

that would be awesome, i played for 8 years and still play, but not as serious as i was before.

ArcLite 03-08-2005 05:56 AM

Thread dead for two hours. Either a record has been set or I had too much coffee.

Bastard work comp won't let me DL a file that big. I'll have to check it out when I get off in an hour. Didn't you say they are like Winds in some other thread?

superpeer 03-08-2005 06:07 AM

70 MB, eh, I'll download that tonight.

I should get to school now. :)

manuscriptreplica 03-08-2005 06:07 AM

Thanks for that file FF, I don't like it as much as Winds but it's still decent. I can send you an album if you'd like in return?

And hello everyone, this forum is moving quite slow tonight
