The only reason I've waited this long is because I thought I would give her a chance to be civil and reasonable and not throw her life away over something like this. Apparently I've been giving her far too much credit.
Makes sense. Based on all the stories you've shared about this girl, I am impressed that you gave her as much credit as you did. The sooner you act, the better. So, again, good luck, for what it's worth. |
Thanks everyone. :)
My mom keeps telling me to hold off for a little bit longer because she wants to make one more phone call and give them a few more days. I want to go file a report either this Friday or Saturday, but my mom wants to make one more call this weekend (the 'three strikes and you're out' mentality) and try to get ahold of someone other than the answering machine. I figure if all else fails, next Wednesday is the latest I'll wait to get the ball rolling. I'm already itching to kick this thing off. I feel like a douche for having to rely on my mother at this point, but it's all I can do. If I act too soon, I'll get Mormonized in the butt by those jackasses. |
you're trying to reason with them.
yet, if you try to set it right civilly they're gonna slap on a restraining order? it doesn't sound like they're really giving you a choice. Don't feel bad for relying on your mother- it's not like you can do it yourself and it needs to get done. you're actually being unbelievably reasonable with the whole situation |
Not really a relationship issue, but this is te best place to ask.
Some girl I talk to on MSN invited me to her birthday party tomorrow. I've never met her or anything, and I'm a little worried about being shy since I don't know her well, but I'll get over that. Anyways, if I go, I would at least an hour late, because I get off work right when the party starts, and I need to change and shower before I go anywhere. Would showing up late be a problem in any way? And should I buy a gift or something? I barely even know her, so I don't want to, but I don't want to seem rude or something. I'll get her a card, at the very least. |
waiting to ask a girl out untill after her birhday.
jerk behavior, or broke guy behavior. discuss. |
What the hell are you talking about? I don't even know this girl, I just don't want to give a bad impression by showing up late or something dumb. I'm involved with someone else anyway.
|

I need a way to break up with my girlfriend. The last I did this she didnt take it seriously and its REALLY pissing me off.
And when it comes to girls, I have NO balls.. |

I think it's hilarious, to be honest.
waiting to ask a girl out untill after her birhday. jerk behavior, or broke guy behavior. discuss.
Well, at least it's better than this scenario: Hoping to break up with girl before her birthday: jerk behavior or broke guy behavior? Discuss. BONUS QUESTION: Get back together with girl after birthday: jerk behavior or broke guy behavior? Discuss. |
well, being a broke guy, and TOTALLY unbiased, I'd have to say that's broke guy behavior.
|

Being a girl on mx, I actually use it quite a bit.
 |

Hell, even if you are uber-bff with her, you have a good reason. |

1. yes, late is fine. 2. no, a present would not be required. |
You're putting too much thought into it.
Yeah, I have a bad habit of doing that, lol. I guess I'll show up later, and bring a card or something. |
There's this girl I'm friends with that i like and I have no idea whether or not she likes me. I don't know how to go about asking her out or even approaching her with the subject as I've never had a girlfriend. I need help.
|
Ask her if she wants to hang out sometime.
|
I have hung out with her, just as friends though.
|
Does this make any sense?: My friend says don't date his ex only because it is his ex and he thinks a friend shouldn't date another friend's ex. However, he also says he has no feelings for this girl anymore. Maybe there's just something I'm not getting, but this "rule" of not going out with your friend's ex girlfriend seems pretty stupid to me if he has no feelings for her.
|
Then ask her on a date? Like to get food or coffee.
|

How long have they been broken up? |
Around 2 months, maybe 3
|
Well, my whole problem is that I don't know how to make it a date instead of just hanging out.
|
Say 'So recently I've been think more about you. Do you wanna come on a date with me?'
|
I guess I just don't know how to work up the balls to ask her out.
|
Just do it, even if she says no, you'll probably feel better that you tried. It's much better to try and fail then not to try and wonder what could have happened.
|
That there is your problem.
Just pretend to be someone really confident, say what someone who had massive cohoneys would say. |
True, the only problem is taht we don't go to the same school, so we talk online alot and i try to hang out with her every couple of weekends.
|
Anyone have anything to say to my first post up there^^^
|
How long had they been going out?
|
Maybe your freinds just afraid that his feelings will come back because of jealousy.
|
Maybe a month or two, nothing long. I'm almost positive that he's interested in another girl now.
