Meh, beer has that 'drinkable' quality to it. You can steadily work your way through them - making sure that while you always have a drink there, you're not going to pass out having drunk 3/4 of a bottle of pepper tequila to make sure of the same.

two problems right off the bat: you say "deserted" in two consecutive lines. don't do that. find another word in the thesaurus or something.

Problem 2: don't use the words "broken" and "heart" in the same sentence. it sounds lame
