Since this thread seems to be stagnating in anticipation of Enemy of God, let's do thrash trivia. Whoever gets it right asks the next question.
since we haven't talked about Coroner for a while Coroner are composed of the roadies of which Swiss thrash band? |

Celtic Frost. |
^ Iron Maiden swiss or thrash? :amaze:
Celtic Frost.
2 people with the correct answer. I have to admit I went to Thrash Zone because after my accident in manufacturing, I've been sort of stupid and "empty" when it comes to recalling stuff. I still wouldn't be able to think of a good question to ask though, so I'll let sensitive take care of it. |
Oh, shi.t I have to ask a question? /me thinks.
Who was the first vocalist for Sepultura, who also played guitar? No cheating guys. |
Oh, shi.t I have to ask a question? /me thinks.
Yep...think of a good one :thumb: |
First vocals for sepultura= Wagner "Antichrist" Lamounier (do i get a cookie for including the tr00 nickname :P)
Who was the original vocalist for Vio-lence? |
Jerry Birr.
What band is the original bass player for Testament/Legacy with now? |

since we haven't talked about Coroner for a while Coroner are composed of the roadies of which Swiss thrash band?
Hmm, Deja Vu! I remember ThrashMaster asking this very same question a few months back. STOLEN! :p As for FaceInTheSky's question.... Off the top of my head No-****ing-idea. After some preliminary research, still No ****ing Idea! The Internet tells me Greg Christian was their first bassit, but doesnt tell me who he is with now. Is this a trick question? :p |
Steve Digiorgio's with em now, so that makes them 10 times better than they were with the original bassist
|
On a completely unrelated note, I just learned the bass solo in Fermented Offal Discharge by Necrophagist
|
I didn't steal the question.
And I don't know the new one... would he be in... Anthrax? /random |
Jerry Birr.
What band is the original bass player for Testament/Legacy with now?
after cheating and going on metal archives the answer is Havochate What was the name of the first Xentrix album? |
Havochate? No-ones even heard of that band
I don't know Xentrix so I'll leave this one |

Face, yes, I have Soulseek. My name on there is -I-Freezing Moon-I-.
In other news, I broke a guitar string today and it came up and cut my face. |

Sorrows? I'd be happy if that happened to me.
"So, how'd you get that one?" "I was shredding and I busted a string which proceeded to slice my face open." How metal is that  |
First Xentrix album i think is Shattered Existence.

Hey, here's a cool idea. Whoever gets your thrash trivia question right, you give them a positive rep point. Cause nothing is more important to your rep than knowing thrash ;)
So, if Mile got it right (I don't know) then metal-militia gives him a rep point. |
I can't believe I only have -1 rep points.
|
I have 528
Rep ++ for everyone! |
Just a heads up...

I can't wait for it to come out...I'm going to probably skip school just to get it the day it comes out  Naw, I'll just go over to Best Buy or FYE as soon as I get out of school that day. I'm so hyped to hear this. I've been waiting since the end of August to hear this stuff. I just wish that Ozzy would book Mille and the gang on next year's Ozzfest. Anyone else agree? Got any other thrash bands you would like to be added to the mainstage if you could? |
Holy crap that's fucking sweet.
Does anyone else find the verses to this and Slayer - War Ensemble really similar? |

So I'm going to have to buy/burn all their old stuff. :upset: RAGH! |
JMetallica, think you can give me some more of this? I can't get anything else because when I goto the "thrashkreator.250free.com" link, I find 2 links to 2 different leaked albums (GWAR - War Party, and some other band).

Kreator on Ozzfest would be orgasmic. Exodus on Ozzfest would be sweet too. |

Well, my best suggestion is to always check the USED bins first. If all else fails, go for "Terrible Certainty, Extreme Aggression, Coma of Souls", and I guess everyone would suggest Pleasure To Kill over Endless Pain. I do recommend the first three I suggested. I have all 3, got them for about 12-14 bucks from Tower. I found Coma of Souls on iTunes, but if you get it brand new, it's about $12.99. Definitely a good deal. |
Man, teh Tower Records at your location is pretty cheap. Granted, I never looked for Kreator when I was shopping Tower Records (in NYC). However, teh prices for a cd were usually like $18.
|
Most of the old thrash that wasn't like exploited and popular is lower priced. Now, I've seen Sepultura CDs and Slayer CDs for almost as much as 18.99! Outrageous, but I was glad to snag some Destruction, Kreator and Exodus for low prices. I've been looking for some Coroner, Dark Angel, and Possessed too. My location has "Seven Churches", but I'm just waiting (which is bad XD) to get some more cash so I don't go broke. I wanted to get that with some more CDs. I found Sodom's Code Red for 13.99 at Tower, but One Night In Bangkok cost more x_x.
Still, I get my money's worth, thanks to the wonderful "Sound Samples" I have access to :D |
That Kreator track rips!!!!!!!!, I cant wait until Jan 11 (the day it comes out)
|
IT sounds very Coma Of Souls with a modern Violent Revolution touch to it. There is a lot more brutality than VR and the mindless, boring melodic inturludes have all but been taken out. Like CC said, there are *some* Slayer-isms, especially in the lead department, but it sounds like a Kreator album, not slayer. The Riffin' is bitchin', the drumming is brutal but not over baring, Millies vocals are the same as they've been since 1987. On a whole, it is an unrelenting Kreator album. It is truely excellent.
